This continues and we are down, Facht as the FSW would say.

Only a matter of time for me, paper thin squad with only 2/3 quality players, we now have no money to improve and I’d bet my life on DCL and Rico wanting out this summer

Our run up to New Year looks horrendous and could easily see us in the bottom 5, do these players have the mental strength to dig themselves out of danger, I’d say not looking at the characters in the squad, how will they be mentally if the get hidings like yesterday from the likes of Chelsea / City / Liverpool / Spurs etc

Once the rot kicks in does this manager and squad turn it around?

I’m looking at the table and praying there’s two other sides on top of Norwich who will keep failing to win
Benitez is not in the seat after this season. We're rubbish, but i do think there is much worse than us in the league. Finish about 14/15th, then get Lampard or dare i say it, Rooney in.

I'm hoping this is a repeat of the 95 season. Lots of similarities, with Mike walker stinking the place out, getting the boot and then being saved by an Everton legend and led to fa cup glory.

We can only hope
Seems like only yesterday, that i was queueing for FACup final tickets, and Peter johnson was coming out to talk with fans, and handing out bottles of water to us.

The depressing thing is they are probably all itching to play us as soon as possible.

Need a result against Leicester or the Norwich game could be brutal.

Imagine we get beat of Norwich. Be nowhere to hide for any of them after that embarrassment. Can see it happening though.

That was 20 years ago and it’s only happened once. Last season 30 points would’ve kept you up.
Correct, but, that wasn’t the statement I replied to. Also in the past 20 years 8 teams have been relegated with 36 points or more, so, your 30 points is just as big an anomaly as West Ham going down with 42. Let’s hope we’re not in a position to put the number of points required for survival to the test this season, because, the way things are going, if we don’t have a big upturn in form we will finish with 40 or fewer points.

36 points will almost certainly keep us up this year, it’s normally the case.

Lets hope we get them then, we still need to find another 17 points, if performances don’t radically improve, we will be struggling to get them. We’ve got 19 at the moment and most of them were in our so called purple patch at the beginning of the season.
