That's true but we could also lose to Norwich, Newcastle beat Watford and Burnley beat Leicester which would have us within 6 points of 4 of the bottom five.

Most likely neither scenario will play out and there will be a mixture of positive and negative results from our perspective, what is likely is that we need a minimum of 16 more points from our remaining games, maybe more, maybe one or two less, and I'm not convinced we'll get them. We probably will, just about, but it's by no means a certainty.

The gross mismanagement of the club since the appointment of koeman and Walsh has been staggering. The subsequent appointments of allardyce and silva, along with the appointment of Brands saw some scandalous and wasteful purchases. By the time we finally appointed a world class manager in Carlo, the well had been run dry due to the excessive spending on overpriced average players previously. One thing Everton fans are patient, but then Moshiri appointed arguably one of the disliked managers by the supporters. He was never gonna be given any slack by the fans if results went against us, which they now have. Due to the signings in this window, I can see benetiz being given till the end of the season. However it could be too late by then.
