Relegation

If it looks like we are going to get relegated I'm taking my tent, finding a Hill in the middle of nowhere, somewhere deep in Scotland and living there for a year.

Most feel that relegation will be the final nail in the coffin of us ever hoping to keep at the very highest levels of the game again and I agree. But what if that's already true anyway? Then all that means is we all spend the rest of our lives watching Everton failing to live up to our dreams and continue with the pretty much miserable existence it has been following them for the last 30 or so years.

For me one potential 'positive' of going down might mean us actually letting go of those wishes to return to the very top and along with it starting to enjoy being Evertonians again. Its not of course guaranteed that we would bounce straight back down and the financial disaster coming our way might mean we even drop further down the divisions, but one thing is for certain, we won't go out of existence and we will eventually find a level where we can start to rise again. At that point the doom and gloom of the last decades is replaced by enjoyment and optimism for the future, even if that optimism is never again to be for the heady heights of our past.

If we go down I won’t be wasting any time watching us play in the Championship. I can just imagine the cringe social media admins buzzing their tits off after we beat Reading 2-1 at home.

This is the worst run club in the league and we deserve everything we get. Bad decision after bad decision, no long or even medium term planning. Everton Football Club is an absolute embarrassment.

Where are they getting points from? They fall apart under pressure and need last min goals to get any decent return no coincidence bielsa left just as leeds had Watford and Norwich coming up to make it easy for Ted

Palace
City
Arsenal
Chelsea
Brighton
Brentford
If they win at Palace they will be very difficult to catch. Probably no points against City and Chelsea but the 3 other games they can get 4 to 6 points.

We have indeed been a shambles for years but I can't understand why someone would stop supporting their team just because they're not in the Prem.

It's not looking good but we may turn it around. If not, we dust ourselves down and go again. Nobody wants it to happen but nobody dies!

Until significant changes are made at the top I have zero faith that we can even formulate a plan to get out of the Championship.

The club has zero direction and is run by fools. Why should fans put energy in to that?

Things need to change first.

Oh, I accept it's personal choice and fair play to any who decide it's not worth it financially or emotionally. I didn't mean to imply criticism. I just can't understand why relegation is the issue as we've been a happiness sink for years and years.

Sometimes I wish I could just give it up but I'm too far gone now ?
