I'll do you one better.

Everton Liverpool October 2015/6? Martinez last season at the club. Finished in a 1-1 draw , both teams looked like they didn't want to win the game.

Liverpool after that game sacked Rodgers and hired klopp. Brought in someone to sign players for them and they started rebuilding. We kept Martinez on, moshiri arrived and we have been a mess ever since. We did the opposite of what they did.

I hate to point out the obvious but by the time we play Chelsea we could be 7 points to Leeds and 5 points to Burnley, 6 points to get above Burnley with their Goal Difference....

I`d love all the believers to tell me where we are getting the points to survive, realistically.... From them fixtures I can`t see us getting 3 or 4 more points than Leeds and Burnley.

FWIW I don`t want to see this club go down, I feel I need to accept it so when it happens it isn`t such a disappointment.

Keep the faith matey. We're capable of getting points in all our remaining games. Leeds have a very tough run in themselves now. Burnley lets see. Still lots of "could" at the moment

Broadly agree with this assessment. Only adjustment in that I could see us potentially turning over Chelsea (so +2 points) but losing at home to Palace (-3 points).
Really need back to back wins in next 2 games to haul morale up a notch.
Looks bleak really.
 
If we do go down and the board are here come next season without some sort of significant change then you know this isn't our club anymore.

Imagine if you said the year we would go down it would involve hiring benitez , massive losing run under him and selling two of our best players in the process, one of them he 'fell out with'.

Sounds more like a kopite fan fiction than reality.
