"All we have to do is x y an z."

Shut the fub up you knackers. Getting sick of it .

We really are the team everyone wants to go down. That's saying something when it's between Burnley and us and maybe Leeds.

All the money we have spent and we have gone from plucky underdogs to the team that nobody likes.
Maddest thing is we spent most of that in two summers we haven't exactly spent lavishly in recent seasons. It's spotlighted because how we wasted it and how we have gone backwards. When teams spend and go forwards its never mentioned.

Leeds were horrific. Unfortunately Palace couldn't hit a barn door tonight otherwise it's 3 or 4-0. On a positive note they will get SMASHED against City, Arsenal and Chelsea so they have 34 points with two games remaining.

Burnley PPG now better than ours following their win at the weekend, 1st time it has been all season and even though they`ve played more games...

Next round of fixtures....

Dont think Leeds are getting anything against City but by time we play Chelsea we could be 5 behind Leeds and Burnley, starting to see a clear gap form.

Worryingly!

Leeds could still be on 34 points after 36 games with Brighton home and Brentford away the final 2 games.

Possible best case 37/38 points - we need at least 9 points from our last 6.

I looked at this negatively. Because at 34 points with Brighton at home and Brentford away I thought well Leeds could finish on 40. But we COULD win the 4 games v Chelsea, Leicester, Watford and Crystal Palace end up with 41 with 2 games left. Near impossible mind you. Say we got 2 wins and 2 draws, we'd be on 37 points with Brentford before Arsenal. It's too close to call too many if and buts.

What do they have to lose? And Burnley aren't exactly top drawer like are they?

If we beat Chelsea I think we'll be back in this.

Chelsea game probably decides our faith...if we win, then its very much in our own hands and we should be able to get enough points from Brentford/Palace/Watford to just survive....

I'm more looking at Leeds than Burnley at this stage as our best chance of getting out of jail

Silver lining being that Leicester have nothing to play for in the league and Watford have the worst home form in the division by quite a margin. Call me optimistic, but I reckon we can scrape 4 or even 6 points there if we put in a performance like we did yesterday.
this applies to their burnley game too, and our away record is worse than burnley's
Sorry for popping your optimistic bubble :)
I wish that too!

Newcastle have done it , Fulham are about to do it & Norwich repeatedly do it.
Newcastle were set up for it under Ashley. That's literally what he did. He didn't invest much when they were in the PL but when they were in the Champ he was able to keep the same budget and throw a bit of money to get them back up.

Fulham and Norwich are, quite literally, built to do exactly that.

Everton are not.

Everton are much more akin to Aston Villa when they went down, and it took them 3 years - and a great talent in Grealish - to get back up. And Aston Villa were not as financially knackered as Everton are.
