Hi Everyone,

Despite being a Toon fan, I grew up on the Wirral and I am in my 40s so I can fully recall when Everton were a great side and I have many blues fans as mates so I do appreciate your current suffering. I have read many contributions here in the last weeks and listened to some Evertonians and here are my two cents:

1. You are NOT relegated until the moment you are relegated. If that happens it is painful sure, but unless/until it does happen stay behind your team and Manager and give them every bit of support you can (I deliberately haven't mentioned the clowns in charge of your club as that is a different story)

2. If you are ultimately relegated aside from the obvious "banter" you will have to deal with from the rest of Merseyside the Championship is not so bad and long as you don't stay there, or "do a Sunderland :)" You will have new places to visit with passionate fans, cheaper tickets etc.

3. It is not some "conspiracy" against Everton if they do get relegated. It just isn't - end of story!

Finally I will say this - unlike many neutrals I would rather Burnley dropped down than you guys/gals but as a team Everton are going to need to show some fight now otherwise it will be you that goes.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Hiya chaps as an outsider looking in its sad to see a old traditional club like Everton circling the plug hole,I've seen it like yourselves all before where bad decisions are made in the boardroom etc etc over the years and it finally catches up with you in the end ,non footballing people thinking they can cut it when really they haven't a scooby...annoys the life out of me but watching the likes of villa west ham Newcastle etc etc all big clubs like Everton you all have one problem in common bad boardroom decisions and people not doing there jobs properly......If you do survive I think next season will be the same for you as well unless you sort your board level out...anyway good luck toffees I'm not teaching you to suck eggs honestly....kro.

The media are already dancing on our grave, and we’re not in the fecking ground yet.

They are desperate for us to drop, as are most neutral fans it would seem.

I Didn’t think we were significant or offensive enough, as a club, to generate such hatred across the game?

Thinking about it, maybe it’s because we’ve spent fortunes only to make an absolute pigs ear of everything.

Don't think it's anything personal, just it's always interesting to neutrals when a massive club drops out of the top division.

Can remember Atletico Madrid getting relegated from La Liga in 2000 (Real Betis and Sevilla also went down that season which shows what can change in 20 years at least).

And look at Germany. Massive clubs like Schalke, Hamburg and Werder Bremen all in Bundesliga 2 although looks like two of those will get promoted.

Italy had likes of Sampdoria, Napoli and Fiorentina all relegated in last 20 years aswell.

Eventually they do all bounce back....

Thanks but we have had atrocious decisions against us as well as a rubbish group of players - it doesn't help

You say this but 12 months of not once being on MOTD, not playing on Sky super Sunday, playing a crap team on a Friday night when most of the nation is focused on the weekends fixtures, it will be agony.
Yesterday I unfollowed everyone on Facebook I know who supports Liverpool because I don't want to see premier league football mentioned on it.
Yeah if we went I would struggle to be interested in premier league football..

Far stranger things have happened but I'm expecting Burnley to beat Watford. There is a wider air of fate about our demise I think, and I've thought that for months. This whole Mike Jackson miracle worker thing is also so typical of what can happen during a scrap.

Will be a big ask then to recover from a 5 point deficit - points in the bag are what count and even more so when your direct rival has Chelsea next up.

We have to be more than mathematically still in it after Sunday. If we are then some hope remains with the game in hand.
This is how I have felt, feels like our downward momentum has never stopped even the odd win feels like a sticking plaster without us being able to pick up an away point. But hopefully, there is a run coming we need a big result to flip the pressure back on Burnley, but it's just hope right now not expectation because we have little evidence. I expect us to be five points behind going into the Chelsea game because that's how it is, can our team step up to pressure? I am doubtful. Surely these players know some of their careers are on the line? Or do they care? Are they all lining up moves? I hope to god I'm wrong we need to fight in every game, but this season feels like a perfect storm where everything has gone wrong and the years of mismanagement have come home to roost.

Bluerover.....Trust me I get that. Every team has decisions go against them, and it seems worse when you really need something to go in your favour.

As for "Rubbish players" you have some sure, you would not be where you are if you didn't but I guess this ain't what most of them signed up for.

The real issue is that Everton possess what is basically a team thrown together by a succession of short term managers with no wider plan for anything really. This will be a real problem down the line should you find yourselves in the Championship.
