Southampton at 100/1 to be relegated isn’t the worst bet.

I was thinking the same earlier. 40 points, 3 games to go. 2 away -Brentford and Leicester - with Liverpool at home inbetween. They could esily finish on the 40 points they are now. If Burnley, Leeds and ourslkves continue to grind out results they could be in trouble.

We have been so bad away from home that statistically speaking, it's likely than a lucky win will come our way in one of the 3 away games left to play. We may even get more points away than at home on what's left to play...the everton way.

A win against Leicester. FFS if we can do that we are going to have players ten feet tall and eager to clean up up every available point.

I think this game is more important than the Watford away after! Get a win there and momentum is back! Watford game would be desperation mode again otherwise

In a season when Brentford can win 4-1 at Stamford Bridge a lot of these predictions are pointless. We just don’t know how the games will turn out.

The “Everton That” little voice in my brain is stopping me getting too excited. It would be VERY Everton for us to go and lose to Watford or Brentford, or for Leeds to take 6pts from their next two.

Yeah they're the long shot that may come in as given they lose heavily a few times a season their GD wouldn't be that great either.

That said I think anyone on 40 points is fine as it still requires Leeds to get another 7 points. Burnley another two wins and team in 18th of course to get another 8 points so still very unlikely.

Worth mentioning though that likes of Brentford and Palace may not be mathematically safe when they rock up at Goodison so they wouldn't be technically safe and so would still be motivated.

I think it also helps us that Villa are not mathematically safe yet so they have something to play for against Burnley.

All that matters is Leicester away. It drives me mad when I'm looking at all the games wondering where we can nick a win or a point.

Like you mention, you just never know how games will turn out.

Today means we are still alive and kicking for next week and that's all that matters.

Massive win today.

It’s a real dogfight now with 3 teams involved, all showing the kind of form nobody would have predicted a month ago. Ours being slightly worse, but having arguably much tougher fixtures these last few weeks.
