Relegation

We will be and I'll watch us in the Championship mate but the whole idea of being a successful club probably goes out the window with relegation.

Relegation hasn't crippled Leicester, Villa or Wolves.

As I always say - Villa went down, came back up and are now above us.

What did we achieve all those years that Villa were in the championship? What was so great and joyous for our fans that Villa fans were missing out on?

You can throw Newcastle into the above mix once the Saudi's start their sports washing.

Not saying I want relegation but the obsession our fans have with "we'll go down and not come back lad promise u dat" is nonsense - Norwich and Fulham literally come up and down every season and their accounts are brilliant because of the PL parachute money.

We're nothing but another mid table outfit these days - akin to a Palace and Southampton and our day will likely come - but we WILL march on.

Fair points but I still don't want us to go down mate lol I'd rather win the cup and stay in the league.

With all due respect our wage bill totally eclipses the likes of Fulham's and Norwich's - we would be stripped of all of our assets and left with terrible footballers all of which are on outrageous salaries.

We have probably been to arrogant and poorly run to insert relegation clauses into player contracts

Relegation would finish the club off

We don't have the players to win games in that league and come back up

We don't have the structure in place to bring through young players for that league

We would be financially destroyed. We could be in actual danger of going broke. We would be paying champions league wages in the championship.

The stadium would probably not happen

We will lose a generation of everton fans. We are a club with a fanbase across the UK, Ireland and the world but that all stops with a relegation. Young kids in the city are going to pick the reds as well. They won't want to support the championship club in the city when there is a champions league club.

The club would be destroyed by relegation. I don't think it would ever recover.

Brentford might get dragged into this. 4 game losing run and have played 3 games more. Have City next

Yes, there’s still 18 games to go, and there’s still plenty of poor sides in the division.

Norwich Watford Burnley Brentford Newcastle. We just have to finish ahead of three of these teams.

Yep, tbf leeds and sunderland are big outliers here... But i still dont want to get relagated lol

Real Madrid did for us when they decided they wanted Ancelotti back unfortunately. Yes the football was terrible, but that was because he'd recognised how poor our players are technically and played a way to get results. He talked about needing more quality to improve the team and I think he would have gone after that in the summer and used his connections to get good players. Instead we ended up with Benitez.
