Imagine this.

In a months time we are all sitting on a beach on our holidays, Everton are safe, preserving our fantastic record of top flight footy (just), City are PL champions, Carlo Magnifico won the CL, Chelsea with the FA Cup, and Liverpool's quadruple turned into the League cup only.

Bordering on Slippy G and Crystanbul levels of funny that would be!
I did think that earlier today, but didnt want to get ahead of myself with them thinking 5 things they wanted would turn into 1 lol

Leeds are cooked I reckon

They have shown history in the last couple of seasons of pulling out unexpected results when their back is against the wall. Even today I had to tip my hat to that second half effort.

However, the injury situation, poor goal difference and their fixtures will make things difficult for them. They need 2 points now just to get ahead of us. Brighton are not a team I would like to play right now and Brentford are in good form too (concerning for us as well). I think their best chance is beating Chelsea mid week. If they lose that and we beat Watford I don’t see them coming past us. In fact our Brentford home game might be a survival party of sorts

The thing which i cant stand is when others lose, its all about they are missing this player and that player etc,, we have surely missed more players than anyone but we hardly get a thing said about it compared to others
We, for some reason are hated by the media and arguably some officials, I don't know what we did to deserve this.

However we just need to roll up the sleeves. This is like the second half against Bayern and we are 1-1. Now we need to finish the job

Marsch was too big a gamble for Leeds imo. Knowing the league is scoffed at but not in a relegation scrap. It is a dubious appointment.

But in fairness to him his point per game has not been that bad. Difficult to legislate for the run Burnley have gone on to drag them back into it. It does not seem that long ago when people were thinking even 30 points might get you safe

Hanging on to Bielsa when he was sending his half strength team out set up to get hammered every week is what will cost Leeds their premier league status.

Hard to imagine a better set of results for us this weekend (in order of events)

11 reasons to celebrate tonight

1. Burnley lost, badly
2. We won
3. Leeds lost

But above and beyond that:

4. Brentford maintained their home form (play Leeds final game)
5. Villa beat Burnley away and play them again at home
6. Chelsea blew two points against Wolves so will need a win at Leeds
7. Watford have a man suspended for the game against us on Wednesday
8. Brighton remain in good form before taking on Leeds
9. Spurs got a valuable point at Liverpool (which is obviously good news) and keeps them in the hunt for 4th (including a home game v Burnley)
10. Leeds had a man sent off (straight red, three match ban)
11. City open up a 3 point lead on the RS

We may need 2 wins, nobody really knows, all hypothetical.
Of course.

But that's not the attitude we as fans should have, and the team certainly can't (and they won't).

I've been thinking for weeks now we need 'x number of wins' and so I've been consistent with that. After Utd it was 4, after Chelsea it was 3, now it's down to 2.

If we get them before the last day then I'm confident we will be fine going into that Arsenal match which, really, is what we need.

I've stopped thinking about other teams because that's not the mentality we can have, it's in our hands so we have to do our job.

I think Leeds will get a result against Chelsea. We need to keep getting results.
It would be fantastic if we could go into those two home games knowing we don't absolutely have to win both of them to be safe heading into the final day.

If we draw against Watford then I think we'd still want those two wins to be sure of that though a point could of course still be huge.

But we cannot be putting all the pressure on those two home matches.

2 more wins gets us to 41 right? You'd have to say that should see us safe. But you never know I guess.

BTW my prediction is we get 42 points. Unless we Everton it at Watford.
