It is so weird how much Watford hate us apparently for no reason other than because we took a manager and a player off them years ago.

Proper small time bunch.
Its because they don't have any real rivals (the nearest thing have to one is against Luton Town) so they're desperately scrabbling to create one. They'd love us to hate them back and give this rivalry (that only exists in their tiny little minds) some credibility.

It hurts them deeply that despite the fact that we've been utterly garbage for over thirty years we could still take any of their best players and managers from them tomorrow if we wanted too. Effortlessly so. They're a forgettable, tin pot nothing little club that is an irrelevance in championship terms and wouldn't even be a draw if they dropped to league one or two.

We just need to make sure we score the first goal on Weds. Can't imagine them being arsed enough to try to turn it around when they're already down. Likewise if they take the lead, they might have a bit of a "let's just have some fun" attitude and suddenly play well.

The big one for me is Mykolenko being fit. Jonjoe Kenny cannot play.

it’s obvs a different game and tactics etc

but we still need to be compatible hard to beat and get a goal

we need to win it’s more important than the last two games

We are not out of the woods yet and there is every chance that things could still take a turn for the worse. A win against Watford would certainly ease the nerves somewhat.

Referees certainly trying to Relegate us...

Fouls committed by Everton per yellow card
17-18 8.67
18-19 7.73 (-11%)
19-20 6.43 (-17%)
20-21 6.15 (-5%)
21-22 4.40 (a staggering 29% less than last season) half as many fouls per YC compared with 4 years previously.

In other words an Everton foul is twice as likely to incur a Yellow Card compared with 4 seasons ago.

Everton are 15th in the Fouls per game table in the current season yet have the lowest number of fouls per YC - a ludicrous 4.40 per Yellow - this directly contradicts the correlation between low fouls and low number of yellow cards (the other 6 least fouling teams have the 6 lowest ratio per YC, indicative that the least fouling teams get the benefit from refs - excepting Everton, to no one's surprise)

We have known this for more than five years?
