Leeds were absolutely rancid that first half against Arsenal and their captain is now suspended for the rest of the season. There is nothing suggesting to me that they'll be able to beat a motivated Chelsea side who need to make sure of Champions League.

If Chelsea perform to a similar level as they did against us, then Leeds could get a result. There will be a massive atmosphere there tomorrow and the first goal will be huge. If Chelsea get it, then I don't see much hope for Leeds. But if Leeds go ahead, then of course they could win. You can't rule out anyone at this stage of the season, especially not at home.

Hopefully Lukaku has found his scoring boots just in time.

it’s annoying me lol we need two wins before even thinking mathematically etc

no time to relax what so ever

i’m to anxious
I went to bed Sunday night feeling happy, it had been a great weekend for the blues and I started to believe that we would avoid the drop .
But I woke up yesterday morning and looked at the table and realised this nightmare is far from over. We have a one point lead with a game in hand but we can't go into that last game at Arsenal needing points.

exactly concentrate on us

2 wins keeps us up, and that’s nice.

Think everyone is mad to think Watford is a foregone conclusion though. No away league wins for 8 months, then 2 in 4 days?

If it happens like that and we’re safe before the game on Sunday kicks off, then what a turn around.

would be some achievement.

got to best watford first and foremost

Exactly. We've got a finger tip on the door frame of the exit, but we're still struggling alongside Leeds and Burnley to get through the door itself.

Until we're safe, everything is to play for and we have to give 100% in every game we play.

Team news coming out of Watford could be a bonus for tomorrow. About time we had some luck on the player availability front given that it has usually been Everton scrambling to get a team together due to injuries, Covid or whatever. Anyway, whatever team Watford field we need to treat them exactly as we would their best eleven. No complacency

I was more just commenting on picking an arbitrary number of points and saying that's what we 'need'. I think at this point it's really difficult to make predictions because things can swing dramatically game by game. A few weeks ago i'd have been pretty certain that 35 would keep you up but obviously that's no longer the case. Nobody would really have expected us and Burnley to have picked up 10 points each since we played them a month ago but here we are.

If we win tomorrow and Leeds lose then i'll be very confident of staying up, if the reverse happens then i'll be very nervous. As I said, I'd like to think 1 more win would be enough but when there's only this many games left I don't think you can ever completely discount someone pulling a couple of results out of the bag.

Yes definitely.
I just think we have to look after our games. Beat whats in front of us. I thought 35 would be fine (and still could be strangely) then suddenly it looked like 40 points might not be enough. Been a strange season. I'll just be pleased to be mathematically safe. The sense of relief from that anxiety will be enormous. At the risk of sounding dramatic, I hope it's sort of a rebirth for the club.

I would never back us to lose, but I am still nervous about tomorrow. We have a great opportunity, but winning back to back away games is not a common occurrence at this club, even with our better sides.

I think Leeds are capable of winning all 3 of their remaining games, but equally capable of losing all 3. They are very unpredictable, and it's an unpredictable point of the season, but I think they have an advantage over Burnley in that they have 2 home games left, to Burnley's one.

Having 2 home games left is good news for us too, but the pressure is enormous on Sunday if we lose at Watford, and results go against us elsewhere. It's very important we turn up tomorrow with the right attitude and perform well.
Bielsa Leeds maybe but not the new guy, they gone from making the pitch huge to playing very narrow and through the middle
