It’s simple lads, we need to get more points than Leeds on the weekend. If they lose we only need a point. Not hard is it!
We need to win at the weekend with a Leeds loss.

We really need to put this to bed now. Win Sunday and it's flip flops time for us , preferably Butlins for most of them.

Leeds will beat Brighton. Their lot will be right up for it and Brighton have absolutely nothing to play for 2-0 to Leeds. We have got two decent teams to play yet in Brentford and Palace, who have both beaten us comfortably this season. Sorry all but this result has put us in massive danger again.
Loving these shouts

Brighton who are a far better team then Brentford have nothing to play for yet Brentford who are now safe have everything to play for. Both teams seasons are now over.
Think Brighton can get in Europe with an 8 place finish isn’t it?

No we don’t need to win. Leeds lose and we get a point it’ll be enough minus a 30 goal swing

The crazy thing is that Everton could be in bottom 3 by time they kick off on Sunday. Either way, they will know Leeds/Burnley results which will hopefully help them.

Basically I will be watching 6 hours of football on Sunday.....oh god, I'm feeling the tension already!!!!!

We are in big trouble.

Maybe the crowd can help us cause an upset against Palace because the crowd have been magnificent of late (like a 12th man, as Frank said), but Palace tonked us 4-0 the other month without breaking a sweat.

If I was a gambling man I would bet on us getting just 3 points from our final 3 matches, which almost certainly won’t be enough to keep us up.

Brentford on Sunday is a MUST win. It’s perhaps the biggest game in our club’s history. We have got to get behind the lads from the first whistle to the last like we did against Chelsea.

I’m actually not that disappointed with the point against Watford away because the last time we played them we conceded 5 goals, but it leaves us in a perilous situation.
I'm glad I don't think the way you do. It's a positive mental attitude that's got me through many years of abject seasons in almost 60 years as an Evertonian. The remainder of this season though, it's realism that's keeping me calm. That's not to say I still won't be a bit nervous, or that I won't breathe a big sigh of relief, but I have a feeling we may already have enough points to stay up. Vault me if you like.

You’ve got to love this place.

Seems like drawing, is the new losing lol
Not just that but we have gone from Everton being the greatest team in the world and Leeds and Burnley awful awful teams to Everton are the worse team ever and Leeds and Burnley are City and the RS and going to batter everyone while we get destroyed by a team with nothing to play for at Goodison

They don't have any players

Huge injury list now including Raphinia
Ayling and James suspended

I can't see them winning at all, I certainly can't see Brighton losing.

That said, stranger things have happened, just wish we had put it to bed last night to take the pressure off

Brighton probably due a loss. We need have no worry that they won't approach it professionally as there are no points handed out for nothing but it's exactly the sort of game I'd expect Leeds to turn up for in front of their own fans.

It's about what we do in the next two games though. Post the euphoria of last Sunday, I still felt there would be at least one more fork in the road. Hopefully last night was it. It was simply never the case in my view that we would just smash the run-in and go on a extended winning streak.

And by extended, I mean three games two of which were away. Even in better circumstances, that's dancing in the streets time. We just don't win enough games, and certainly don't win enough in succession. We were and remain a poor side with serious flaws.
