We’ll be bottom half in my opinion. We just can’t afford to lose players and we’ve been without Mina Docuoure Richarlison DCL for too many games. That’s the spine of the team, the best player in each position. Akin to Liverpool losing Van Dijk Fabinho Salah Mane. To add to that we’ve had lengthy absences for Godfrey, Pickford has missed games, Digne can’t stay fit, Gomes Delph Gbamin all missing games. We just don’t have the squad to cope with missing our best players.

Begovic Kenny Keane Davies Iwobi Rondon are bottom half players. I wouldn’t even class Kenny Davies or Keane as premier league standard, I don’t think a single other prem team would take any of them. Put combinations of these on the pitch together against fully fit premier league teams and what do we expect to happen?!

Just pray Benitez’s reforms of the medical team kick in soon otherwise it’s going to be a long season. If Allan or Gray go down at any point we may as well pack up.
And on top of all this - we plopped whatever big number it was that we plopped on He Who Must Not Be Named - another massive amount of money for which we are getting nothing this season.

At some point, when your most expensive players aren't on the pitch, and the ones that are on the pitch have been rubbish, it all catches up to you. As we are seeing now.

We need to get through this season, wind down some more of these contracts, and look for reinforcements over the summer, guys who Rafael will have vetted, not some shiny new toy we don't need like Davy Klaasen or Yannick Bolasie. My god some of these signings have made me sick to my stomach

When can we spent again? Do we need to sell or are the losses reset after a certain timeframe? Tired of this squad.

They don't look good with troglodyte tactics

Wow this is absolute rubbish

Nothing to do with tactics, beyond Allan and Doucoure our midfield is just terrible, all you have to do is look at the performance this season and last season when Doucoure is away injured 3 defeats on the bounce this season and was it 2 wins in ten at the end of last season under the world class manager

You can only polish a turd so much, but its still a turd!

You think losing 0-1 impacts the squad and fans the same way as losing heavily?
Okay feller, agree to disagree i guess.
I am not the squad or the rest of the fabs so I cannot speak for them all I can say with any confidence is that it hurts me every time we lose no matter what the score I slam off into a silk fir 12 hours and refuse to even look at anything Everton related lol I’m a sad sad man

We won't get relegated, that's just silly talk.
All we need for relegation to happen is for the best side to play when we play the good teams (we draw or lose narrowly) and key injuries to happen when we play the weaker teams (we draw or lose narrowly) and suddenly it's a reality.

That's all it will take...

Said this.
Gary neville made a good point on that overlap on sky back in august when talking about Everton as fans no one was convinced bg any of the names linked and when that’s the case it’s a worry because we don’t know what manager we actually wanted.
For all the rashness of Moshiri another bad smell there lingered around for 20 years is also holding us back. The charity fc stuff needs bailing. People need to know start being held accountable for the poor dealings they have had with the club and the people holding us back need removing. A structure needs to be in place and a sense of identity needs to be put in place rather than just being a mid table top flight club who don’t ever challenge for trophies.
Good post.
Say what you want but I knew what the identity was under Moyes and kenwright. Players were bought in for a job to do and then improved through, hard work, team spirit and coaching. Togetherness we punched above a weight.
I felt the club stagnated because we couldn’t match the spending power of the teams above us.
We have lacked this since moshiri has come in. And despite spending more, we are still out spent.
The villa history under Randy Lerner looks v familiar. Billionaire come in spends, no immediate success and then gets bored of wasting money. Time will tell.
This season is midtable, next season is pivotal to our direction.

Has anyone looked at the table? Norwich on 2 points, Newcastle on 4 and Burnley on 7. Even with a horrible run of games and the injuries we have the teams that are considerably worse than us will flounder. It may not look great after those games (and personally I believe we will surprise some on that run) but we won’t be in the bottom three, nor that close to it in my opinion.
