Relegation

So all this new found optimism lasted a whole 72 hours. Couldn't make this up.

We lost an away game in the PL. Big deal. You do realize we have only won about 40 in the last 10 years so that's almost 150 games we haven't won.

Home form is our bread and butter, always has been. I'll reserve judgement for a few weeks yet.
Jesus you put it that way. We are safe as houses. Feel completely silly now even considering the possibility.

Home form is our bread and butter. Yesss... yesss.. well put. Relegation you must be joking.

40 wins in 10 years. 4 wins a season. And we are talking about relegation!!!!

Get real lads. Willo dropping truth bombs.

Like taking Zanex listening to you.
lad. Mind at ease.

I can't help but feel if Burnley had have taken that 1-0 lead last night Newcastle would have had one very bloody war on their hands to get back in to it, and ASM would have had a right turning over. There'd have been bodies in the way of everything.

Not a chance of relegation.
Terrible squad, terrible manager….. but there are three teams that are far worse

Its heartbreaking to say but relegation is what the idiots who run our club deserve. We are objectively the worst run club in the entire league and one of the worst run professional outfits in the entire sport. We've recruited horrendously for years in both managers and players, we have absolutely no standards as a club or any long-term goals. There'll be no quick return to the Premier League if we get relegated either, championship teams will be licking their lips at the prospect of taking our scalp. We'll be everyones big game. There's no way our loser players would be able to deal with that kind of pressure. Forget an easy promotion, we'd more then likely face another relegation battle to stay up in the championship! The only hope we have this season is that three teams do even worse then us and we cobble together enough points at home to stumble over the line. We've got to treat every single home game like a cup final between now and the end of the season because getting home results against the Southampton's and Brentford's is our only hope.

Thought it was all about the manager though?
It would all change once Rafael had gone.

It's one game under Frank. It'll get better (because it can't get any worse).
I shudder to think what would have happened if Benitez's Everton rolled up at Newcastle last night... our main hope would have been ElGhazi, coming on for Grey, and we would have staretd with Coleman at LB and Kenny at RB - OMFG!

Even if we get out of it this year it'll be the same next season unless something big changes within the club. Recruitment has been shocking for so long it's only a matter of time before we arrive in the bottom 3.

They won’t be able to deal with that. They’ll crumble. Our chance to pull away was between mid November and mid January. That was thrown in the bin when the board kept Benitez on. Now we are entering high pressure games every week. Scary.
