We've seen our guys wilt under pressure.

Christ they're gonna be under immense pressure now.
Lampard is likely left with a choice of playing guys he knows are mentally incapable of the fight versus those he knows are physically incapable. So, he might be thinking he can't play both Keane and Coleman in his defence, because one is scared and the other is, basically, paraplegic. If he tries to play both, he's asking for the drop. He might get away with one. The problem is he also has to make this kind of choice when it comes to Holgate, Gomes, Mina, Iwobi, etc. He really needs to find an 11 - or the core of an 11 - and stick with them come hell or high water - because hell and high water are barrelling their way down the road straight at us. He must identify those he cannot rely on at all - and marginalise his use of them. Big task. We have about five players we might say we can rely on to give us any kind of fight.

Some scary parallels with the ill fated 1993-94 slide.
Basically sitting on your hands (yes you mosh) over December/Jan is a recipe for disaster.
Even after four wins and four draws it was out of our hands going into the now famous final game.
