So its Moshiri's fault Koeman/Walsh spent £200 million to take us backwards? (Hi Williams, Schneiderlin, Klassan).

Or Moshiri's fault that Silva/Brands wasted another £200 million to take us even further back? (Hi Gomes, Delph, Gbamin, Kean).

Its in human nature to want a scapegoat for all our ills and a few suspects still butt hurt over the Benitez appointment have decided Mosh Man is that bogeyman.

The truth is no one person is responsible but a collection from owner, chairman, manager, DOF and the players.

The truth is we've been on the slide ever since Moyes left outside of a fluke 1st season under Martinez.

If Moshiri never came on board the deadly duo of Bobby Brown Shoes and Kenwright would have sent us down the moment Lukaku left. The signs were there come Martinez's 3rd session.

This is largely true and shows where the responsibility for our down ward journey truly lies.

He interferes 100% and shouldn't.
He appears to know nothing about successful running of a football club
He alienated a huge section of fanbase with Benitez
He is profligate with funds(how much in compensation alone has he spanked?)
He is totally out of touch with the fanbase
The club, currently is a shambles
Communication is zero.

Even a mega rich knobhead cam be called a knobhead if he doesn't utilise his resources well and quite simply he hasn't.

I was pleased to embrace him at the outset, we all were but most have now seen how misguided that support was and accept the error they made.

If he is to continue with the Stewardship of Everton he needs to step aside 100% and allow the root and branch reform take place and take all actions resulting from this overview.

If not then he is not the man for Everton.

Play 3 in central midfield and we won’t go down. Carry on with two in the centre, then we will continue to be carved open and relegation will become a certainty.

Home form will be enough to stay up.

Can see 9-10 points from the remaining home games:

Wolves
Newcastle
Manchester United
Crytsal Palace
Chelsea
Brentford

Probably only need 1 win away from home. 35 points will be a cert to stay up IMO.

Just read a report on the the impact and all round positive effect, that Lampard and his back room staff have had, since they arrived.

The same report, described Benitez style of football as “ zombie football “

You couldn’t describe it any better if you tried really.
Have you a link to this report? Sounds like good reading.

I have been quiet in just trying to see where everything lands in the flurry since Lampard's appointment. That said I think its fair to say that some of our doubts haven't been simply rectified since his appointment. It's not his fault but he isn't also convincing me to elevate himself above the poor process that led up to his hire.

Thelwell comes in after Lampard, a process from precedent that's unwise. If the rationale was the need for immediate results or a new manager bounce, the form seems somewhat comparable to what could have been expected under Duncan. Again that doesn't sit on Frank, but on the clubs side the inconsistencies or repeating of past mistakes from years past, is partially why we are sweating on possibly playing in the championship.

Regardless of survival, I think it's clear that the club needs to get very serious this window if they indeed stay up, or a narrow survival will not be an anomaly. In that regard I think they have to sell their most attractive assets and reinvest, oppose to rely so heavily on such assets. Its unsustainable to be so reliant on a few players quality. DCL and Richy exits are looming, and thus should be planned for or executed while they retain value regardless of the teams form or while the club has some ground in negotiations The club needs to leverage those caveats or mid-side or below finishes will affect their returns. It's harsh but so is the situation where the club has a relatively small pool of sell on potential to finance the future. We need to disperse our quality across the pitch and bench and have funds generated by appreciating assets. We have marginally improved on that end but there is still a constant present fix all attitude in our business. In the immediate I guess its warranted but it has to change.

Lets hope for the best!

How do you know he never?

Koeman got Southampton 5th and 6th and most fans were happy enough with his appointment in which he finished 7th in his 1st season here.

Walsh was the architect recruiter behind Vardy/Mahrez/Kante

Brands was supposedly highly rated at PSV

Ancelotti is a world class manager

Alladyce did the job he was required to do.

As much as people hate Benitez his CV speaks for itself.

It's only the Silva appointment you could genuinely shake your head at and I've criticised Moshiri for that appointment on more than many occasion.
Yea Koeman was thriving at Southampton but he built off of the success generated by Poechetto, also at the time Southampton had an exceptional recruiting system called the black box which was very money ball esque in it's design. Before Southampton he had a pretty mediocre career as a manager.
Then Walsh should been hired as a head scout not DOF. He wasn't qualified to perform the duties of that position. Also Koeman basically dictated the transfers during his time as manager generating further issues because of Walsh's naivete. At Southampton recruiting was delegated to other more qualified individuals. Also we replaced Rom with Tosun and Sandro which is just a travesty.
Regarding Brands, yes you're right he was highly regarded but still coming from a vastly inferior league made some decent acquisitions although even the first season there were missteps we still didn't replace Rom. Everton never secured proper depth and his second season was a debacle, through a combination of being undermined and just poor decision making on his part, yet he got his contract extended which was a another inept Moshiri decision.

Sam completed his assignment but overall it negatively impacted Everton because we became saddled with Walcott and tosun. We didn't need a fire fighter we needed a long term manager then. But Moshiri was so fixated on Silva who didn't deserve the hype.

Yes Carlo was a prestigious manager but ill suited for Everton. He hailed from environments abundant with quality players and had no patience to develop a squad as he wanted instant results. The fact brands catered to his transfer demands instead of securing younger promising players that fit the mold of what he envisioned for the squad is another folly he made. Even his Napoli team was saturated with talent and he failed to get the desired response. Quality managers skills can wane. So that leads me to Benitez, who had an impressive CV 15 years ago, even if he wasn't a highly polarizing choice due to his past affiliation, he has also declined in his ability significantly since. Managing in China should of been an obvious clue.
So just a series of debacles overseen by Moshiri and he should rightfully be scrutinized. He's the reason we're battling relegation.
Sorry for the lenthiness but I wanted to be comprehensive in my response.

Looking ahead in the short term, the 13th - 20th March could be a very significant 8 day period. Wolves at home on the 13th, then Newcastle at home on the 17th and then Watford away on the 20th. A real good opportunity to collate some points and create a bit of breathing space that is assuming that those matches don't end up being 11 v 13 again as recent matches have been.
