Benitez got 1 win from 13 games, having inherited a side that got 59 points. He has broken what was fixed and caused this mess.

Lampard has won 3 from 8. The problem here isnt Lampard. Its the lowlife slob who came before him
Goes deeper than both IMO. Consistently poor recruitment over a number of years and no football strategy at the top of the club has brought us here.

From our games left, I see between 13-16 points. I dunno if that'll be enough to keep us up and based on our "Jekyll and Hyde" form I don't even know if we'll get those expected results so barring some unexpected wins against bigger teams we'll be right up against it til last game of season even if we get those expected points.

We're basically relying on other teams around us being crap. I'd argue only Leeds, Burnley or us will go down now, unless someone above us like Newcastle or Brentford suddenly implode.

Leeds have got a new manager in so we need to pull the finger out as it could literally be between us and Burnley if they sort it out and from what I've seen Leeds fans by all accounts think they'll stay up too under this new fella.

Beat Wolves and Newcastle and its all good.

I don't think it is. I think it's the minimum required to even stand a chance. We will still get hammered in most away games, and we have to face Watford and Burnley away from home. We need to beat Wolves and Newcastle AND pick up at least another 3 wins from somewhere IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me if we got a few points from the likes of Wolves and Newcastle, everyone starts thinking we will be fine, and then we will be pulled right back into it. We will not be safe unless or until we become mathematically safe.

Back four against Wolves should be:

Patterson Godfrey (if fit) Branthwaite Mykolenko

I cant see Keane or Holgate being dropped tbh. Agree with Mykolenko & Patterson but Godfrey wont be rushed back from a hamstring injury and im not sure Branthwaite is the answer right now.

Hopefully Gray gives us something fresh again going forward.

I can see Dele getting a start this weekend with with Rondon as no9 and Richie and Gray either side. Gordon looked to be injured last night towards the end. If not then Richie as a no9.

13-16 points will easily keep us up

I'm hoping Lampard has learned from last night and wont risk another hammering away from home. I think we will pack the defence and midfield form now until the end of the season.
