If we’re 18th going into the final game then we’re down because we play Arsenal away on the final day.

If it goes to the last day, only way we survive is if we are relying on other teams and they do us favours.

If we need a result, this team will freeze and get battered. I can remember years ago Norwich knowing a win on the final day kept them up and they lost 6 nil. I could see something similar.

The fact we still have any chance of avoiding the drop at this point is a shocking reflection on the league and the other teams around us.

Work on us being essentially down and staying up will be a bonus.

So let’s say relegations happens…

What do we honestly think the chances of us coming straight back up are ?

I see lots of people who assume that relegation will end this club but why is that ? If teams like Norwich can regularly go down and then come back up why can’t a club like Everton do that ?

Because we are Everton … we don’t do good things like win leagues or Wembley finals anymore

I don't think it is. I think it's the minimum required to even stand a chance. We will still get hammered in most away games, and we have to face Watford and Burnley away from home. We need to beat Wolves and Newcastle AND pick up at least another 3 wins from somewhere IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me if we got a few points from the likes of Wolves and Newcastle, everyone starts thinking we will be fine, and then we will be pulled right back into it. We will not be safe unless or until we become mathematically safe.

You have to factor in we have been rubbish for months yet are still outside the bottom 3.

The problem is soon as a team like Watford or Brentford win a game everyone wets their sheets yet we are just as capable of winning the odd home game here and there (Leeds) (Brentford FA Cup).

Throw in the games in hand there is little chance we go down this season.

The worry is next season with no sponsers propping the accounts up to enable us to rebuild this rotten squad.

The clubs in trouble if they dont reverse their decision to suspend USM in the coming months if the situation in Ukraine improves.

Funny enough, I think the opposite. I think it's going to the final whistle.

If it goes to the last day and we need 1 point or 3 we have had it.

Just looking at all the fixtures for the rest of the season, good thing is those teams around us have to also play the top teams.

As bad as this season has been im still not having we will be relegated, we will get ourselves out of this hole by the skin of our teeth but we will do it.

I think Lampard will go back to a 5 man defence with hopefully Patterson and Mykolenko as wing backs.

Keep Allan, Doucoure and Van de Beek in the middle and either Gray/Richarlison with DCL.

I love Gordon but he can still make an impact from the bench

The big problem with games in hand, is that they are no good to you if you don't win them. Why would we be any more likely to win our games in hand than all the other games we've played?
