As the great Neville Southall said on Twitter the other day: we fans have really got to be up for this one. We’ve got to be behind our players from the first whistle until the last. They are mentally weak and don’t respond to the sort of abuse and booing that has characterised our support over the last decade.

This is probably the biggest game in our history. Realistically we aren’t likely to get a single point from the whole month of April. And make no mistake: relegation means doing a Bury. Best case scenario is a Derby type situation. Some have said “oh the stadium won’t happen if we go down” but that would be the very least of our worries.
Great post. Agree with you (and Big Nev) 100%.

For all the criticism of the defence - we haven’t looked like scoring a goal in 4 straight matches.

I’m not absolving Gordon from this either, so we may need to give Alli, El Ghazi, and even Rondon a start soon.

I'm a Leeds fan, been haunting your forum for a few years. I feel your pain, it's bloody horrible.

Can I ask without getting a degree length answer just how the hell did you get into this mess? It can't just be down to Raffa?

Nah I think we are already down. It’s a bonus if we stay up at this point.
We're nowhere near being down. We're favourites to avoid relegation out of the bottom 5.

We'll show tonight why the bookies dont have us as relegation certainties.

Exact same way as Leeds did after getting to the Champions League Semi and then relegated a couple of seasons later.

A clueless chairman, with no plan, other than to buy overpaid, average wasters, who can`t play together and most of whom, who arent arsed anyway.

Then to crown it all off, hire the most hated, clueless manager in the history of the football club, allow him to start ripping the club to pieces and then sack him midway through his wrecking spree.

We deserve to go down.

At this moment in time yes but Everton's odds have been shortening with every defeat for a considerable amount of time now. If the defeats continue we will be odds on soon. But as suggest if we manage to win tonight it will look a lot better

We`ve just been over paying for players that haven`t performed or been injury prone for five or six years. We never really built a good back four in that time which has lead to us shipping too many goals and go on long spells where we don`t carry much of a threat at the opposition goal. It dose n`t take much to go wrong for our heads to go down and turn a potential win into a defeat. The two shots that hit the woodwork when we played Leeds could well have seen that game get away from us had either one been a few inches the other way.

This all day long.

I am 50/50 on you going down, your games in hand help but you do need to win them or at the very least not lose. the problem I have is my soft spot for Everton via my gran but if it come to you or us...

... there is no up side to relegation and the very few Everton fans who think it's a good idea to go down rebuild and come back up are wrong.

Look at Leeds it took us 16 years, and probably more if they hadn't gambled on Bielsa. I admit the last 3 years have been fun but the 13 before that less so.

You are Everton not Norwich or Burnley but Everton it's unthinkable that you might not be in the Premier League.

Good luck tonight I genuinely hope you stay up unless it's at our misery then I would wave you goodbye.
