I wish I could just go to sleep now and wake up tomorrow morning to read the reports of our 3-0 win.

This is the most nervous I've been for a long time before one of our games and honestly, I've got little confidence in these players turning up. Here's hoping they prove me and a lot of us wrong.

I am 50/50 on you going down, your games in hand help but you do need to win them or at the very least not lose. the problem I have is my soft spot for Everton via my gran but if it come to you or us...

... there is no up side to relegation and the very few Everton fans who think it's a good idea to go down rebuild and come back up are wrong.

Look at Leeds it took us 16 years, and probably more if they hadn't gambled on Bielsa. I admit the last 3 years have been fun but the 13 before that less so.

You are Everton not Norwich or Burnley but Everton it's unthinkable that you might not be in the Premier League.

Good luck tonight I genuinely hope you stay up unless it's at our misery then I would wave you goodbye.
Good post mate, but I still hate Leeds 《and they're my Dad's team)

My worry is that similar to our players mental attitudes in the first half of the Boreham Wood game, apparently nervous of a potential shock defeat, our players will be similarly scared of getting beat tonight, and could show in their play.
I agree with other posts that a bear pit of a Goodison could help the players tonight

We're nowhere near being down. We're favourites to avoid relegation out of the bottom 5.

We'll show tonight why the bookies dont have us as relegation certainties.

I used to think like that given our games in hand but it is evident that we don’t have sufficient players in the squad with the mentality to actually win them…that’s a big concern given our current predicament.
The bookies probably think the outcome is entirely in our hands hence the latest odds but they have not had to watch this bunch over the last few years.

Read this @ForeverBlue92

“ there is no upside to relegation “

You prize nugget.

Only a matter of time for me, paper thin squad with only 2/3 quality players, we now have no money to improve and I’d bet my life on DCL and Rico wanting out this summer

Our run up to New Year looks horrendous and could easily see us in the bottom 5, do these players have the mental strength to dig themselves out of danger, I’d say not looking at the characters in the squad, how will they be mentally if the get hidings like yesterday from the likes of Chelsea / City / Liverpool / Spurs etc

Once the rot kicks in does this manager and squad turn it around?

I’m looking at the table and praying there’s two other sides on top of Norwich who will keep failing to win

The OP is a mystic.

Any tips for Cheltenham mate ?

I wonder if someone could refresh my memory.

In 1994 and again in ‘98, my recollection is mainly of the last day escapes.

To me, we arrived on the Relegation scene late…got sucked in, so to speak.

Were we this deep in the mire in the middle of March in either of those years?

The fact we have our lowest points ever at this stsge of a season suggests to me the trouble crept up on us.

We have lost 15 of our last 19 games.

We have been beaten by 2 of the three teams below us.

At some point this sort of optimism has to be replaced by realism. Hope rather than belief. Otherwise if the worst case scenario happens , people will take it a lot harder.

Win tonight or we have to get our points from teams a lot higher in the league than us.
