There is another way Matty.

If and I'm far from sure that we will , we stay up we need a complete reset throughout the club but particularly on the playing side.

We have a lot of high earners out of contract and probably 3 decent saleable assets - Richarlison, DCL and perhaps Pickford.

I'd sell and replace all 3 with young hungry players.

I'd try to sell the likes of Keane, Gomes , Holgate , Allan , Doucoure but highly unlikely that we will get fees for all 5.

Recruitment needs to centre on younger players and I'd look to buy the best young players in the Championship and France.

It's not a strategy without risk and an inexperienced side might well struggle at first but I'd rather go down that route than more Delphs and Rondons.
You are edging close to what is called a “strategy” there mate, don’t think the club are aware of such things.

Being honest with ourselves we have a defence and midfield that aren't very good at Premier league level how on earth did we end up here after spending so much money, we kind of deserve everything we get.

I said at the start of this season signing the likes of Rondon is only going to end up us going one way. I wasn't quite expecting the rest of the squad to completely capitulate though but we have a lot of 'not good enough' players.

Main reason we can't settle on a formation, team & style - the players.

They can't be trusted.
We don't trust them.
Frank doesn't trust them.
Teammates don't trust each other.

The 'form' fluctuates from 1 minutes to the next as the majority don't give a toss.

We 'showup' for 15mins, and revert to type because we've not got the conviction, professionalism or pride.

Majority of this squad downtools at the first sign of jeopardy- they've no fight, and no interest in a relegation battle. If we stay up, it's [Poor language removed] all to do with them.

Frank didn't create this mess, he clearly is struggling to fix it, but its not on him [same sentiments for previous managers]

Players don't need to play for the shirt, the club, the fans, the manager, just play for yourselves, individual professionalism - they don't.

This was our reaction to a win - gutless cowards
It would be nice if they played to earn the money they get. They do need to play for the fans, they absolutely do, we may have become an insignificance since money took over but we are still the heart and soul of this club.

Money has killed this sport for me, it's boring as hell and very unenjoyable most of the time and now we've got to a stage where there's only a few teams with a chance of winning anything, where's the competition in that.

Would definitely be the easiest to replace.

wanting to get relegated isn’t one tho
Sometimes you have to take a step backwards to take a step forward.

This current business model is not sustainable. We need flushing out and a new approach.

Hanging on in the premier league every season is just demoralising and pointless.
We are nothing more than cannon fodder for the big clubs.

Dont think it should be just on young players the team is desperate for a leader at cb, same at cm.

Sounds crazy but part of me is thinking we need to go down to try and reset some of the weak mentality and cancer that runs through the club.
Yes, because I’d actually rather be in a league where we might win a few games and actually enjoy watching the football for a change.

Not that crazy an idea that is it really?
Yes that means nothing to me is pathetic of a club like us to be in the championship. Agree is no quick fix on the team but hopefully the club can bring in the right players. Bringing in the right cb would massively improve this team i am still hopefull might be a chance we get two even one on loan, add another cm. Sorting the defence out would help so much is the biggest problm we have

According to some, relegation clauses are in some contracts. I cant see that they wouldn't be to be fair as I'm sure a good few clubs would have this as a standard? But having said that most clubs arent Everton!
Relegation Clause?!?

They're selling us Season Tickets at Price/19 per game. Clearly it hasn't hit home after 3 league wins in 26 weeks. So to expect them to accommodate something as calamitous as relegation is one hell of a stretch.
