It's odd really, after today's game I sat for a while thinking over what I had just seen and I considered our overall plight. I came to the conclusion that I was pleased that we weren't humiliated once again, because it may have lowered our morale for our big game at Burnley.

Now there's are two glaring problems there, the first one is that I was thankful that West Ham didn't humiliate us and the other is that Burnley away has become a massive fixture for us. Sad really, I remember when we used to be Everton, I'm not quite sure who this bunch of chances are, but, they bear no resemblance to the Everton that have been such a big part of my life.

The championship beckons, if not this season then surely next.

That bit highlighted. Thats become such a regular thought now in away games. Really depressing times when you just hope we dont get humiliated.

Watford have five home games left

Leeds
Us
Brentford
Leicester
Burnley

They will fancy themselves to get points in all them games if they want to stay up

This is why I think we need to beat Burnley. Too many are contenting themselves with a point there - understandably - but I think Watford are the real threat. All five of those games are winnable. If they beat Leeds - and us - I reckon we're goosed unless we have already beaten Burnley. And then it's going to be a real squeaker for us. Burnley might be gone by the time Watford face them...

My first ever away game was Burnley away 1969/70 a massive game on the title run in. The game on Wednesday is probably a bigger game as this time we can't afford to lose.
I won't be there on Wednesday as I have just been diagnosed with Prostate cancer which is a bit of a bummer but you know what occupies my mind when I wake up at night ? Not worrying about the cancer no it's this gang of soft shites getting my team relegated.
On a happier note we won 2-1 in 1970 as I am sure you know.

Yes Paul, I remember that game as if it were yesterday, mind you, I do have trouble remembering yesterday these days. Listen mate good luck with the prostate thing, sending you positive thoughts.

Only thing that might shake this team up is dropping in to the relegation zone. Right now they thinking 3 points clears 2 games in hand no worries. This team going down.. I don’t think we win again EVER

Burnley have only won 2 of their last 18 league games. Everton are only 1 win better off with 3 wins in the last 18.

As Everton fans we're used to seeing our team lose no matter who we're playing but luckily, so are Burnley fans.

I see this as a 50:50 game. It really could go either way. Whoever is the least awful on the night could sneak it 1-0.

Prediction: Burnley 0 - 8 Everton
