I hate to say it but I’ve moved from cautiously optimistic to really quite resigned to the fact we are going down. I’d anything I could see is completely bombing now and ending up with not a lot more points than we have now. If Burnley beat us I think that’ll be all she wrote.

they will bum us and chant going down
Could actually be safeish by the time we play the RS. Clearly the Burnley game is massive and then Man U and Leicester at home are opportunities. I know on current form it would seem likely we will get beat in all three of those games but stranger things have happened. Alternately, if we do get beat in all three the RS will chant going down and they would be correct

After the West Ham game?

I doubt very much whether any of the teams below us could have done more than we did against a rested and very good West Ham.

If anything I took heart from that performance. Warts an' all.

Only thing that might keep us up is Burnley not winning more points than us but they have some slightly easier games in their run in, flip side is they have only won three games this season.

I see what you mean but we just can´t keep losing away game after away game. At some point either Burnely or Watford will put two wins together and that will be us done for.

Steve Parish the Palace chairman says

'The mind numbing fear of relegation' makes owners accept they will make losses.

He has described it as catastrophic and likely to put EFC into a position similar to the one he bought Palace in.

It's absolutely vital that we get something from our match on Wednesday. Didn't see their game against City, but judging by the stats I imagine Dyche never had his Burnley team fully motivated knowing they were probably going to get beaten anyway. I suspect we'll see a lot more fire & passion from Burnley on Wednesday night, so its up to our lads to match them blow for blow. Psychologically - for both teams - victory or defeat will mean so much more for the remaining few matches. I fear for us if we don't get at least a point.

It's ironic fans of other clubs laying this on Lampard and revelling in it, when in a league of the board, the players and the recruitment and the manager he is at the bottom when it comes to blame. He's been here a few months he's made a few mistakes he's improved the home form slightly but this squad is the culmination of six years of dysfunction and the root of it comes from the top down. If we go down it's on Moshiri and Kenwright.

If we lose we are as good as down in my opinion.
