Mate, if we do the unthinkable and go down it will be squarely on the heads of those Muppets who have seen off a cluster of managers while happily watching their bank accounts rise, and showing no interest in the Club or in us fans.

Lampard has taken on an horrendous task.
Which I am genuinely scared he is not up to.

There. I said it. It's been troubling me for a few games now, but I'm really not confident or convinced by him. Deeply concerned he's a bullcrapper in the vein of John Gregory or Dean Saunders. Now the relief of being rid of Benitez is fading, there's an awful lot to question Francois on.

Right, I've got it off my chest so I'll go back to hoping like hell my misgivings are completely unfounded and the product of Evsistential angst.

Apologies if this was posted already.

Whata 'kin nonsensical article.

First off he says that performances are going from bad to worse....erm, the result before the cup exit was a win. Idiot.

Then he says it'll be "a miracle" if we stay up....and "we're going down anyway". How will it be a miracle to stay up given we're not in the bottom 3 and have games in hand on other clubs down there?

Is he that desperate for clicks.

Utter sensationalist crap from start to finish.

I don't agree with the we need to accept relegation bit. He got it bang on with regards to Benitez, and the performances in general though.

Mad, but it is literally keeping me awake at nights.

We need articles like that like we need a ten point deduction. I doubt he's an Evertonian. Just another chancer trying to make a few quid.

And btw, people need to dial down the relegation talk IMO. Yes, discuss our fixtures to come and predicament we're in, but let's have it right: we have 11 games to go and won our last PL match with 10 men...unless I'm mistaken...and we have a pretty healthy record of results and performances at Goodison since Lampard arrived.

As I said before: this thread is infested with Kopite interlopers, but the Evertonians on here shouldn't be lending them a hand.

Thing is some of those bluffers have done jobs in keeping teams up in the past. Paolo Di Canio did it at Sunderland and then the year after Gus Poyet, both absolute fraudsters and never managers in a million years. Not suggesting Lampard is in that category whatsoever by the way, but having one in charge for half a season doesn’t necessarily mean immediate doom.

I only hope so mate.

That's partly why I wasn't too bothered about the prospect of Pereira. I wondered if him being a bit of a character could provide a little bounce in the short-term, and it's not like the other options were anything to get excited about.

Doesn't always work, of course. There was that Spanish fella who took Swansea down, who everyone liked for a bit because he did funny hospital analogies.

Will be interesting what happens in Watford-Burnley which is happening soon.

Obvious 6 pointer and a draw would be great. Whoever wins that is obviously the biggest threat going into the final weeks.

Really hope the squad dosen't just dine out on beating Newcastle for weeks now. If they think it's pretty much job done they are very much mistaken. All it takes is losing at Burnley and then Burnley going to Norwich and winning and they'll be likely out of relegation zone by start of May and then it will be real panic stations.

Just had a look at Burnley's April....

Can't see them getting anything other then sound beating by Man. City so not too worried and that will impact GD. However...

The games after that define their season.

Burnley-Everton is on Weds 6th April and and then they play Norwich away on the Sunday. Then play Southampton at home on Thursday 21st and then Wolves at home on Sun 24th. I think Dyche will be targeting 4 points from both sets of fixtures.

That would take then up to 29 points with 5 games left. They then play Watford away, Villa twice and Newcastle at home on final day.

I think anyone thinking they're nothing to worry about is going to get a bit of a shock tbh, can see them finishing on 34-35 points.

I think Burnley away is another must win tbh, more so than going to Watford as a point there will probably be o.k considering they scored 5 at Goodison and they have really rough away games.

That game does not happen for another 6 weeks, The 30th April
