How certain posters can spin it as not good news, or meaningless is just comical, would hope its just yet more fishing, otherwise we have some amazing whoppers following us.

I honestly don't understand what the problem here is.
Rom has made it clear that he wants to play Champions League football and win things. Surprisingly so does every other player, most just ain't as vocal as him.
If Rom has been convinced to sign a new contract and stay at least another year then it's not being Koeman has sat down and give him a lovely cuddly chat about how we might win the league cup. He and his agent will have been given firm assurances that the playing squad will have big investment to support and build the team around him in the summer.

Haven't seen him besides from clips of his wonder goals mate, so couldn't say where the lad even plays positionally.
Sure Raiola has had a little word telling him he's best off staying put.
