For someone you're convinced is not an Evertonian, Farhad Moshiri must be a strange character to...
Clear the debts...
Address the appearance of Goodison...
Finance the severance of Martinex and co...
Finance the recruitment of Koeman, Walsh and co...
Finance new signings and new extended contracts for players the club doesn't want to lose...
Attract through business relationships, serious sponsorship for Finch Farm...
Put all the pieces in place for a brand new, riverfront stadium...
And other areas of investment into the club.
He's an investor. That's what they do. He'll get a stadium in place then sell up with a 300% minimum profit.

He's not an Evertonian.

Oh dear are you trying to bait him? Lol you know this will set him off again! Specially the bit about debts!

If they think we're on the up, and there's cash to be made then yeah of course.

If they're getting info from us ahead of the rest, they'll use to their advantage - exclusive stories, first interviews, dare I say it - manipulation of the betting market.

While I agree, White is a bit of a ball bag, he defo does have clout there. He's one of their best known presenters, so will have a great deal of say on content.

We don't even get decent coverage from our own local rag, so a bit of positive national coverage is undoubtably a good thing.
Tangibly what does any attention from them amount to?

Nothing.

Perception. Interest. Better sponsors. Better advertising. Off the top of my head.

If our name is being mentioned on sky and footage from finch farm every 5 minutes, some companies might just see the benefit of having their brand logo on display at our gaff.

Edit: and lukaku's new contract blah blah blah, on topic blah.

If his investment secures players and a new stadium - great.

If he were then to sell for the kind of profit you're suggesting, then the next new owner would probably need to be as well heeled as Mansour... or Usmanov.

And who the heck would spend that kind of coin if they weren't interested in footie.

So Farhad Moshiri is a businessman and investor first, and possibly is still learning about what being an Evertonian is... currently Dave, you are one of a small minority who continues to see little good in his presence for the club.

Koeman's not an Evertonian, Mosh isn't an Evertonian, and so it goes on and on.

Whilst some absolute blimp rides off into the sunset with 10M in his arse pocket, but that's OK because apparently he "got us".

This place still being littered with tripe from bitter arse I see.

No need to be quite so personal.
By all means debate, but let's not get rude to one another please.

And I'm as guilty as @davek for taking this slightly off topic... Back to Rom please

I understand what your saying up to a point. I think though it's about raising the profile of the club . We are trying to send a signal out that we are serious in our ambitions to restore this club to its former glories. To create a 'buzz' around the club and help convince the players we may target that it's worth taking a chance on us . To make us more attractive to prospective sponsors and thereby garner more lucrative deals and help us compete with the wealthier clubs.
It's called marketing and ,like it or not , it's a feature of the modern game.
