I honestly believe that he stayed because he was rubbish for most of last season and then he had a rubbish Euro's in the summer. Issues if he can really deliver in the big matches, like missing very important penalties may have something to do with it too. Missed one for Chelsea in the Super Cup and was out on loan to us a few weeks later. Missed one for us in the Semi last season too. Having said that scored loads of goals for us so glad he is still here.
