Richarlison at Spurs

To win trophies and be successful.
How many attackers can make the claim of being that kind of a difference-maker upon their arrival in a squad, though? You're talking players like Messi, Ronaldo and Ibra. It's not a long list, and they cannot be had with Rico's price tag. There are plenty of others that emerged as that kind of difference-maker later - Modric and Benzema, to name two, but again they don't come cheap.

Even Kane has never been able to put Tottenham or England over the top on a single honour. He's been a legitimately great player, scored bags and bags of goals, has a good shot at running down Rooney for second on the all-time Prem scoring list if he sticks around for one more season...and zero trophies.

I think your standards may be a little high. What we want is to make progress season-after-season towards the goal of winning trophies (and not in the Championship, mind). Richarlison was an important part of us not being down there right now. I think we got value for money there.

He scored 43 league goals in 5 entire sessons, hardly Gary Lineker going to Barca. He underachieved big time and for once we sold mega high.
Double figures out wide in pretty much all his 5 seasons with the ups and downs of the team is pretty good I'd say, it would be average if he'd played as the number 9 for all that time. Plus he chips in with assists and just a good assest to get up the pitch quickly and waste time as we saw end of last season so overall justified his transfer fee.

The good news is I think Maupay is a well thought out replacement as he has similar scoring stats and also that niggly personality that can get the crowd going and get under skin of opposition so Frank did well there if he went for Maupay over other attacking options that were linked in the summer.

We got ripped off big time should have gone for 100 mil

We could have held oot for more but that Divvy Brands left us in a financial mess meaning we had to sell on the cheap.

After the summer we've just had I am glad to see that some of our fans have finally woken up and realised the owner aint the problem if the DOF is doing his damn job well enough - not spunking £150 millions on tat like Kean, Slomes, Delph, Gbamin, Godfrey, Allan. Players like James and Benard on 140k+ a week.
