Richarlison at Spurs


Fair to say it hasn't gone to plan for him at Spurs yet, but there is still plenty of time. He's only 25, four years younger than Kane, five younger than Son, but he definitely has a chance to become their out and out striker in time. That said, I don't think he'll want to wait three more years for those two to have passed their prime. I don't think he can go upwards from Spurs unless he becomes a player who is starting almost every week, and that's unlikely to happen. He'll never come back to here, but it's a nice thought.
 

You know, I really like Richarlison. He's a good sort. Not as good a player as some like to imagine, but definitely better than a place on any Premier League bench. That said, this was oh so predicatable, so my sympathy is limited.

A last thought: Brazil demolished South Korea and Son at the World Cup with a starring Richarlison goal. Is he really going to settle for playing second fiddle now?
