He wanted to leave us for two years so holding on to him any longer was never an option. Obviously I think he would have liked to have joined a better club than Spurs, but seems like he was pushed out the door by us to the first team who came in for him at a semi reasonable price. I would have loved to keep him with us because he's quality, but keeping players who don't want to be there isn't a good idea.See Richie went off injured again and possibly going to miss the game against us.
Do wonder whether in hindsight selling him has been the right choice (luck rather than judgement).
He didn’t half play a lot of football when he was with us, it looks like it might be beginning to catch up with him.
Don’t disagree with any of that, but my point was we may have been lucky to get shot when we did, regardless of the why.He wanted to leave us for two years so holding on to him any longer was never an option. Yep, I hear ya. I think he's just been incredibly unfortunate this season. Bad move for him, Spurs, but it is what it is. You're right that he'd be getting pelters if he was here and out most of the season lolDon’t disagree with any of that, but my point was we may have been lucky to get shot when we did, regardless of the why.
If he had been here this season but injured almost as much as D..C..L.. has been, I suspect he’d have been getting slaughtered on here (prioritising Brazil etc) and the board blamed for not selling him when the opportunity arose.
One of my favourite players in quite some time but he’s barely played this season.
Believe he had quite a few injections during the end of last season as wellSee Richie went off injured again and possibly going to miss the game against us.

Never seems to be a good thing long term that. We’ve a bit of history for that too iirc (albeit maybe all clubs do it, players are only assets to be wrung out until they sold in general). That said pretty such if the player wasn’t willing then it wouldn’t happen I guess.Believe he had quite a few injections during the end of last season as well
Made 27 appearances for spurs this season. He has been available. But he isn’t dislodging son or Kane and they have like 3 forwards for one other forward position.Don’t disagree with any of that, but my point was we may have been lucky to get shot when we did, regardless of the why.

I do believe he loved us but not enough to want to stay plus upstairs would have been desperate to flog him in an attempt to balance the books. He wanted to leave us for two years so holding on to him any longer was never an option. So right Mikey, he wouldn't have lasted a month hete.![]()
‘This is unacceptable’: Antonio Conte hits out at Spurs players and owner
An angry Antonio Conte said: ‘It is time to change this situation if Tottenham want to change’ after Southampton grabbed a draw from 3-1 downwww.theguardian.com
I think he'd ignite in flames of pure rage if he'd had to manage some of our lot over the past 5-10 years lol
Always struck me as some one desperate to play in any game, second only to his desperation to score.I do think Richy doesnt want to play against us tomorrow. Lets see if his injury has healed by the time of Spurs next game
