Find one Watford fan who thinks anything other than this is a ludicrously good deal for us. Deulefeo single handedly taking Chelsea apart this year (subbed after 89 minutes, mind) showed us what potential is.
It is a very good deal for Watford, it is a lot of money for a young player, circa 35m as I understand it. In twelve months to two years he could be worth 10m or 80m and that is the risk being taken by both clubs.

Don't forget we know Deulofeu even better than ye do. With all due respects to Watford if you look at the clubs he has already played for it is hardly a career in an upward spiral , although he is still relatively young. Most of us loved him at Everton but recognised he would not be part of a top team because of his lack of application regarding the defensive side of his game.
If we had bid instead that level of money for Deulofeu I somehow think he would be at Finch Farm at the moment. A talented player but flawed.

Be interesting to see if his kit number choice is indicative of someone being off (7, 8, 9) or if he just takes the available 10.

Well, one tweeted us earlier;

All the potential in the world and could easily be a 50m player in the future with the right coaching. On his day unplayable but he only had around 8 of those days. When he's bad he can be terrible and then tends to sulk. However he's very young and new to the UK. My general feeling is I'm shocked and very happy with the fee were getting but I wouldn't be surprised if in 2 or 3 years Richalison has pushed on to being a proper world beater. Needs a lot of coaching though especially with his finishing.

Im not sure its any fairer to say the add ons ALL count. I suppose the fairest would be to actually KNOW what they are(but that rarely happens). The reality is almost every deal has add ons that are a mix of those likely to be, and unlikely to be earned. The only way hes earning all of them is if we win the CL, which we wont. If its 35 mill with 15 in add ons, if we do well, probably 5 million trigger, so in reality its 40 million deal.

Come on mate, you think whoever does the deal at Watfords end thinks "I know, I will stick on some extras for Everton winning the CL", they will be achievable add ons, appearances, goals, caps for Brazil, European football, maybe a few pennies for winning a trophy.

He's really really not. If you had gone after Doucoure, we would be peed off. If you getting tiny nips for as much money as we expected to get for both means we get to keep Doucoure, happy days!
You do realize this comes across as being desperate to rationalize the sale of the biggest prospect your club has had since Young.

Enjoy the bottom half of the table til you eventually get relegated.

No, absolutely not. Come on, you dont think that selling teams dont want the fees to appear to be as high as possible, and stick on unlikely incentives when they know they've maxed what the buying club will pay? Add ons are what you do when the buying clubs told you they arent willing to pay more.

I mean think about it, if it was all likely to be earned, why not just pay the 50 million with no add-ons? The only advantage to the buying club would be to then say "The fees only 35 million", but thats NOT whats happening here, its all reported at the higher number, and will likely be undisclosed. This has been done thousands of times.

Te be fair mate you will be back in The championship within 2 years so try and enjoy your limited time in this league instead of picking fights with clubs who you cant handle.
