He was signed on the recommendation of Silva and after he himself persuaded the player to join Watford. Brands is in record stating how he regretted not moving fir him at PSV before Watford did.

Given he plays the same spot as Lozano, that's a big admission from brands to having regrets over it.

Rated him for a while now, especially after his performance against us last season. Has the makings of a decent #9 doesn't he? Not exactly banging them in like Rom did at his age but could easily continue to thrive under Marco Silva and see more success.

The price doesn't bother me assuming someone much better with money than I am decides it will work. Sign this lad, Digne and Mina and I would call it a successful, albeit boring, window.

I will do that.

He initially had a real spark in the league and had the wow factor that teams need and fans love. Silva is addressing the gaps that we can see, buying horses for courses and that is what Koeman didn’t do.

Finances permitting, we have to give Brands and Silva a chance to build their own team.
