I'm happy with the signing but people can't use the market as an excuse for the price, because we're such big contributors to the inter-Prem market being the way it is.

Bolasie, Sig, Keane and now this are defo some of the biggest examples of the PL inflation on transfers.

Ronaldo at his age for that price?
The same for Willian?
Neymar etc, it's not just PL money, the world's gone mad but, it's progress apparently.

I think the poster you replied to was saying that we have overpaid vastly for average players from the Prem. So I suppose he’s right by remarking that we have helped in the over inflated prices in the INTER Prem market. The players you mention aren’t in the Prem and are World Class.

Willian is in the prem, as was Suarez and Coutinho. Mahrez, Stones etc to city. Lukaku to utd. The premium paid for them is their ability, the only other premium paid for between PL sides is for English players because they satisfy a homegrown player rule.
I understand the point made but, still think the world's gone mad.
Looking forward to our transfer record being shattered soon though!!

Says the man that uses stats to back up his judgement on players more than anyone else on here. Stats are only useful when it suits your argument. ( I agree with you by the way!)

There are players there you just have to look for them. I'm not saying these are world class players just you can pay a fair price for a half decent player if you look around.
