We all know money/transfer fees are ridiculously inflated, bordering on unbelievable. Look at it this way - we are getting a new player - who surely is an upgrade on what we have. Why are people complaining about this?

He fails miserably and is a complete waste of money? So what like, he wont be the first and wont be the last at OUR club or any club.

He works out and scores us 20+ goals a season and plays attractive, exciting football? Wait oh ok, he's was worth it.

We are upgrading our squad, in this awful day and age of stupid money, fees, wages, agents, lack of loyalty, add-ons, bonuses, wages - just go with it.

But regardless, this is hardly what we expected of Brands. Exactly the same situation as with Sigurdsson: first-tier fee for a second-tier player.

Exactly this. Hoped we'd learned our lesson after last years fiasco. Hoped the reason we brought Brands in was to find players like Richarlison before they are well known and coming with an heavily inflated transferfee.

Their spending was on good players. Risky players, like Robinho for example, but actually good players.

I don’t see the correlation. They did this considerably better than us and find the comparison way off. Way way off.

They defo wasted aload too; just off the top of my head they bought some poor strikers for big money like Bony,Santa Cruz and Jo.
