Lol Malcom has played 80 games in an inferior league for a mid tier side....firstly that means it might not even be that good, secondly nobody even KNOWS how good he is. Apart from that legion of fans we have who seem to watch every minute of every club so can give us the insight on every player.

Good on FIFA tho

If the fee is close to 35M, with 15M in performance add-ons and the alleged tapping up of Silva is resolved, I would think that is a win-win for everyone. Watford gets what they think are owed to them, we don't have any potentially damaging legal problems, we also get a young talent that has worked with our current manager to much success. The way the market is going, who says we couldn't profit on transfer fees in a few years anyway? Not to mention he answers 2 of the biggest complaints from the fan base, pace and having another competent striker.

I realize most people come to forums just to **tch and moan, so this post is actual pointless, but here we go anyway.

its all silly money ! market forces and that !
I get that. Thing is I felt led to believe that Brands would have the last say and we would begin to be slightly more sensible....not just get rid of a few and blow the whole shabang on the one player we knew the manager wanted from the very start......the one player we know would cost the most. Maybe just me...

Richalison played averagely for 6 months. 6 months.

Six.

Im not sure that's true. Didn't really watch that much of Watford, weren't on Sky much and didn't watch any of their other matches on streams....think he just stopped scoring so frequently.

Cynical post....

£50m for a player who played ok, and by ok I mean a bit better than Bolasie as he actually sovred a couple of goals, for 10 weeks.

Wonderful.

General opinion seems to be that he stopped being arsed when Silva got moody and was eventually sacked.

Which is sound because he’s here with him.

Just doesn’t justify this fee. Even close.

He cost Watford £11.5m I think. That’s some price increase for not a great season.

I am amazed by all the people who seemingly start everyday by dropping into our boardroom for an in depth briefing about the state of our finances both currently and in the future.
Then dropping into our DoF's office for a full report on the players available , their price and who we are specifically targeting and who we are declining.
Then finishing off with a visit to the training ground to hear how Silva is planning to build the team and the players he will require to achieve success.
Busy day that!
But they still find time to come on here to declare they could do everything better.
Got to respect that dedication.
