When we're spending this sort of fee it should be for properly proven players. They should be worth about £50m to us a couple of years after we've bought them for a low fee, not at the inexperience. Think it's a mistake myself but he will do well here.

I agree although the problem is 'properly proven' might not want to come here, hence us over paying for PL players. I am surprised at Brands I thought it would be more bargains but we do need first team ready this window.

It's not like he's the only player available in the entire world of football

We could just tell Watford to jog on and get somebody else equally as good but for a lot cheaper

Imagine if Watford had offered us £50mil for Deulofeu 3 years ago, we'd have all been laughing

40 mil is the quote price not 50 but still 10-15 to much at the very least

Especially since the situations were similar where the Watford boss had already worked with Deulofeu and knew what he was getting!

After us pissing Watford off big style, you would imagine they would want to announce the terms off the deal to all and sundry to make us look silly, we’ll soon find out.

The funniest thing I’ve heard up to now is someone saying “You have to remember, he was at Watford last season surrounded by bang average players”
