So you’re saying Richarlison is not the next Messi?

It's a lot of money, and I thought we'd learnt our lessons from last year to be a bit more prudent.

On the flip side, he's a player that was excellent under Silva and only really tailed off when the games clearly caught up with him and the team wasn't playing well as a whole. At 21, in his first Premier League season, it's understandable.

It'll also take him no time at all to fit into Silva's style of play so it won't be a case of square pegs in a round hole. Hopefully we can still convince Lookman to stay and it'll be Bolasie and Kev out of the door.

..watched some clips from his Fluminense games and he appears to have played lots as the central striker.

I hope we are a lot more fluid in our forward play both Richarlison and Walcott can play centrally if needed add Lookman if he stays.
DCL, Tosun and Niasse gives us a lot of options.

Oops forgot about Mirallas too I’ve a feeling a couple of them could go.

Good point, Eggs.

He's definitely versatile and signing him covers two positions imo. He's an all-round forward. We need to get away from the idea that we need wingers/strikers - we need players who can play in that front three, because that's how Silva plays.

So, if we have six options for that front three heading into the season, Tosun, Richarlison, Walcott, Lookman, Niasse, DCL... it's definitely a strong starting point.

Eh? I'm assuring this was aimed at someone else?
Otherwise I don't take to kindly to being called a kopite for adding additional overpriced examples that the filth claimed were going to be the missing piece....

It was a build mate on your observation and the thread of hypocrisy that somehow they think their views are relevant when the world would be a safer and more balanced place without them.

I still wish we’d paid Houlding that rent increase in 1892, it would have saved so much pain and harm to so many. But, we have to face up to our mistakes of the past and tolerate what we allowed to be created and it ain’t welcome in the majority of places.

At least with Richarlison he has the potential to improve and his value to increase. Bolasie, Siggurdson Williams Klaasen was dead money, paying a premium for players either at or already past their peak.
At £50 million I'd say there's little chance of his value increasing. Half of that price would be about right for what he has shown plus potential.
