Confirmed Signing Richarlison

Bolasie , Kev and probably Lookman out, 3 wage bills gone and money recouped equals Richarlison and a saving on wages. Lads we are getting him for next to nothing. Wheeling and dealing is a big part of football and if it happens it makes sense. Trims the squad also.

I shrugged when I heard we were interested in him and thought he'd prob be a poor signing, then I heard the price and first I laughed then I realised it was serious and almost began to weep. What a club we've become since Farad took control. No one will respect us now, the way we waste cash now is verging on the ridiculous.

As a whole it doesn't make sense. His figures show he's not the finished article, so arguably you're paying for potential as he's only 21. 50 mils worth of potential based on what he's shown so far tho?

I don't really understand the gap we're buying him to fill. Sure it's obvious we need a winger and so splashing 50m on one doesn't seem a bad idea, but why is it being spent on potential rather than what we need right now? Isn't that what punts like 11m for Lookman are for?
You will see a lot of posts complaining that we spent big money on players whose value won’t increase (Sigurdsson, Bolasie, Klaasen etc) and we should have bought younger players with potential. You will also see a lot of posts saying we shouldn’t be gambling on potential when we need established players for now.
Both arguments have their merit, both have their flaws. The crux of it is, Silva and Brands need to decide which one they are going to do. No matter which option they choose, a lrge section of the fanbase will be unhappy and say they are doing it wrong.

Man U paid £60M for a 19yo Anthony Martial & that was 3 seasons ago, so given market inflation, what’s that, 100? 150??? Nobody would say that was a bad deal now.

As others have said, it’s all about the player & whether they can help us win games (which generates money). When we were after Williams, I didn’t want him at any price. The £12M just added insult. Very much the same with Bolasie & Klaasen. I didn’t want us to sign Sigurdsson (good player, but not what we need) & the £45m just ridiculous. Richarlison is EXACTLY what we need. Big, strong, fast, skilful, direct, exciting. £35m seems a very fair price & if we have to pay the add-ons, he’ll have delivered.

Can’t wait to see this lad in an Everton shirt!

Would tend to agree with you on that mate.
We’ve seen the net result of having no legs up front. Walcott Lookman, Richarlison should hopefully help with that across the front line. Will be interesting to see how Cenk plays as well.

UTD paid £36m for Martial.

...I read a report suggesting Brands wanted Richarlison at PSV and regretted not getting him but I have no doubt Silva was the driving factor in making the move happen. Very interesting interview with Silva aired on Sky yesterday from his Watford days where he eulogises about Richarlison.
Do you have a link to said interview sir?

How much for;
Sterling
Martial
Rashford
Sane
Dacoure
Zaha
RLC
Damari Grey
Ryan Sesengon
Mane
Salah
Etc etc etc

Even dross Townsend is about 20m

The prices are insane but it comes to;

1. What to we need
2. Who wants to come
3. How much do they cost
4. How much can we pay.

Let’s get some new faces in and get going.

UTD paid £36m for Martial.

Could rise to £58
Sounds familiar.

The deals being done are, unless laid bare for all to see, there to be speculated on. I’ll be happy enough if we get Richarlison in just as I will go boo him in November when he misses another sitter.

I jest off course... but probably not
