Confirmed Signing Richarlison

I remember at the back end of last year, loads of the blues I go to the match with saying they'd love Richarlison.

He's strong, quick, skilful and young.

He also has a strong affinity with our manager and a point to prove.

He will be starting for us on the left if it goes through and I think he will be a player opposition teams will worry about.

So we're pinning our hopes on his disastrous second half of the season being down to tiredness/Silva leaving right?
OR he's a South American player that needs time to adapt to the league? Lets not forget he's still only 21 and will only get better.

Silva knows him well and apparently Brands wanted him at PSV. I'm fully on board with them. Long term it could well prove to be a great signing.

I like that Silva knows how to get the best out of him, he fits his system and his qualities are things we lack, pace, direct running. Plus unlike a Bolaise or Sig who we over paid for he has plenty of potential and resale value. Although weighted against that is the fact that he's over priced, is inconsistent and faded badly last season. But our issue is attracting quality even with our money when we have no European football, so it's ok saying who else we could get for the fee, but sadly we aren't seen as an attractive as many top clubs right now, so it's difficult getting 'ready made' players of a standard to agree to come, so we have to take a risk on potential or buy rejects from top clubs, I prefer the first strategy. So the fact he has great potential and he wants to come are all positives. So on balance it's a thumbs up and fingers crossed.

I think he'll be a good signing for us, seems to thrive under Silva. Hoping his signing doesn't mean Lookman is off though. Both of them competing for the same position would be great.

In terms of FFP, I wonder what we can sell Bolasie for and it not be considered a loss. Hope he is the sacrifice.

If that was the impression then it certainly was not my intention. (To be fair you should maybe reread the first two paragraphs of my op)

The data was selected to show him against the very, very best players in world football, most playing for title winning teams at his age.

I like him and I want him in. Had his form not dipped off and had he not been playing for Watford he could have doubled those numbers up. The Sanchez/Udinese comparison is probabaly the most fair.
To be fair if he'd kept up the performances from his first 10 or so games, there's zero chance he'd be joining us.

25m fee, plus wages spread over his 5 year contract, hes 2 years into it.

So, 15m?
