2018/19 Richarlison

Heard someone say at Goodison on Saturday, “ you better enjoy Richarlison this season as he won’t be here next year......Real Madrid will table a bid that we could never refuse”.

We need to tie these guys down (Richarlison, Gomes, Zouma, Bernard, Digne) to long deals with bumper pay packets. Let’s send a message of intent.

So Everton fan this

Saying stuff like it is gospel then disappears when it doesn't come true. Why oh wy do our fans love spouting negative bollox so much?

Richarlison is clearly enjoying himself here. Unless real or Barca come in with absolute mega bucks (well in excess of £100m) then he’s not going anywhere. Plus he loves playing for Silva.

So we're going to lose Silva to real/Barca as well?

Spurs haven’t lost Poch yet and he’s miles ahead of Silva at the moment in terms of achievements. It looks like he’s staying now even though Real are desperate because he believes Spurs have something special coming down the line with their new stadium - similar to what we are can offer Silva.

And on the flip side, if Real or Barca do want Silva then it will mean he has been an absolutely massive success here first - we would be talking champions league football or trophies and if that’s the case then I say bring it on! At least he’d be leaving the club in a better state than he found it, which can’t be said of any other manager since Moyes.

Would love some creative people to come up with a boss chant for him which includes us breaking the transfer market and telling Merson to eff off.

That "money can't buy you Stones" chant I thought was hilarious.

In that case we'll have to come higher than at least three of the Big Six. And they are more dominant than ever this season.

Yes, they will have wobbles from time to time, but they all look well-placed just now.

And, yes, Leicester did it. But that was an unlikely one-off. And Leicester didn't face the extra games - and travel - imposed by European football.

So top four next season, though possible, is not a realistic ambition.

With some new additions our 1st 11 could be comparable but not the squad.

Need a lot of luck with form and injuries but its possible.

His greatest managerial achievement is winning manager of the month a couple times. He’s not achieved anything yet.

I might sound stupid here but I find the whole squad strength thing a bit of a myth. The most successful sides seem to stick with the same players pretty much week in, week out. Having a tight unit is the most important thing.

Chelsea have hardly changed their mind up at all this season. City rarely do either. Barca play the same team pretty much every week. When Leicester won the league they did so by playing the same players all the time.

You’re right that we need to be lucky with injuries but no Europe definitely helps.

Our 1st 11 is now up there with the best. I’m pretty happy with our back up in defence and wide players. We only seem to be one central midfielder (uograde on Davies) and possibly another striker (upgrade on Tosun) from what we need.

Mate , if our first 11 is up there with the best and our back up is good, why are Not even in the top 6 and have lost every game to teams above us in the league so far
