Hes peeing me off mate, I get where you are coming from, but the boy has scored a LOT of goals, hes been shifted up top and out on the wing, its a lot to ask of a young boy still learning the league.

He did the same thing at Watford, roughly around the same time, he might actually not be able to perform on a cold Wednesday in Stoke.

Would I take the 80m in the media? Probably yano, 80m is still a lot of money, but the boys a talent when in the mood, hes playing in a team thats on its arse, so hes not gonna be standing out cos we struggle to even pass to him some games.

You are indeed entitled to say you think hes bang average, but to me its the same in the Iceland thread, both players are the only 1s who have scored a decent amount of goals, so to me we should be looking at the other 20+ players in the squad before we start having a pop at the only 2 who are producing for us.

I actually far rather gilf, he at least looks to be trying to stay on his feet and pick a pass.

If ricco played for the RS we’d be setting ourselves

I wish he didn’t throw himself to the floor someone needs to remind him we don’t do that kind of thing at Everton, also he seems in a great big sulk, doesn’t contribute much of late ,and where is the dynamism
He showed in the opening months great at running at defenders but now I don’t see it

Not improved in 18 months

Eh?

How?

18 months ago he was a (just) 20-year-old taking his first steps out of Brazil in what is renowned as the world's toughest league.

He got 5 goals and 5 assists in his first season, in a side that dropped off a cliff after December.

In his second season in the Prem, he's scored 10 goals and got 2 assists - in a side that ironically has dropped off a cliff since December.

He hasn't played very well recently but is still our biggest goal threat by far.

How has he not improved?

Limpar actually gained us vital points and perfected it brilliantly ,I haven’t a clue what throwing yourself on the floor in the middle of the pitch is doing for us ,other than set up counter attacks for the opponents QUOTE="TheBrace, post: 6860098, member: 51341"]
Thank god no one told Limpar this all them years ago!

I remember people saying the same about Rom. Where are the goals coming from if we sell him?
Oh yeah - we'll spread them around the team - McGeady will get 10, Dowell will chip in with 8, Sandro's coming - problem solved. Klaasen is our new Cahill. Tosun is like Lukaku but without the trampoline shine etc.
Truth is, a top notch slotter is worth his weight. In Lukaku's case, that's a considerable sum. We haven't replaced his goals.

He’s also broke into the Brazil side.. he’s definitely improved but of course his game is far from perfect.

If it was he’d be at Real Madrid, not here.

18 months ago, September 2017 he'd scored a number of goals for watford and was in good form since then he has scored 11 goals and 2 assists in about 50 games. His actual ability to play, when you watch him actually looks worse than it did 18 months ago. Blind runs, throwing himself to the floor (very roughly) and not finding a blue with a pass.He is back in his (apparent) favourite position yet is struggling to beat his man in a whole 90 minute game.

For 45mil I would have expected to see some more ability develop over his time here.

As I said, if he was RS we'd be pi55ing ourselves.
