He has 100% embraced a role that does not fully suit his skill set. He is good enough to have Madrid come knocking.

Our trajectory is enough for us to realistically fend them off. He is clearly very happy playing for us, and not having to scrap for match time with Madrid's youngsters is the best way for him to get into Brazil's XI and stay there.
 

You know what I love about him even more is that I bet if you asked him which position he’d prefer to play in he’d probably say as a striker.

He gets played on the wing, he doesn’t complain, he goes about his job with 100% effort, bombing up and down the wing, drifting in centrally pulling defenders all over the shop, running directly at the opposition with the ball at his feet knowing he’s probably gonna get the crap kicked out of him, getting back to help Digne out, making sliding tackles to prevent balls getting into our box - I was watching the replay of the game this morning and there’s a point around 65th minute after Mina’s foul when he tried to head the ball on the floor where Richy is in the box helping out defensively and the ball gets headed away to Townsend and he literally sprints to close him down quickly, this is in the 65th minute of a game where he hasn’t stopped all game - this lad is the backbone and most important player in this side. I love him.
 
Thought he had an all-round very good game. Love the commitment.

In saying that, having just re-watched the game - he should have done better for their goal, was out jumped.

And to be super picky, his first or second touch when James put him through, took the ball behind him. He should have been having a one-on-one with the keeper there.

No player I love more than him though.
 
posting here just to remind everyone of how much Richarlison wears his heart for the team on his sleeve. he posts a lot of his goals and stuff on social media, but also a lot of team stuff. LOVE HIM
