Take a step back and lighten up folks.

With the Olympics on I don’t think he’ll be off anywhere this summer.

And even if he does, we’ll replace him. He’s a fabulous player but not irreplaceable.
He’s a top player and I really like him but if he clears off to Italy or Spain then he leaves with my blessing.

I think Madrid could be a long shot given how skint they supposedly are, but if they stump up the money then it’s an opportunity to reinvest in the squad.

Unfortunately his goal return plus the economic downturn means there won't be many,if any takers.
He's got double figures every season, and has spent most of the time out on the wing. Don't think his goal return, playing for a team at our level, is bad

But good enough for Europe's biggys to pay top dollar when they are all struggling financially? They all have access to video of him sulking when things aren't going well and punching the floor, not what they'd want to see.

The financial issue is the most important one and may be the reason we end up keeping him.

Suspect he'd be far less moody playing for s better team. His attitude looks markedly different when playing for Brazil!

No one will get put off by him looking frustrated playing for Everton. Ronaldo, Neymar and Pogba are all massive sulkers

As has already been said we are not going to keep him forever but the more I think about it maybe letting him go to the olympics was part of an agreement with him to stay for one more year.

In twelve months time everybody will know what the new normal for football will be. Crowds will be back... hopefully permanently and clubs will have their finances back to a point where they at least understand what is happening.

This summer the sale of Richarlison would probably mean Real think he is far too expensive and we think he is far too cheap.... in twelve months time a new transfer market level may have evolved.

Benitez would get to keep him for a season and we would have the promise of substantial funds from the sale in twelve months time.
Richarlison is still so young that twelve months more won't make that big a difference.

The only caveat may be that CA cannot afford to wait twelve months.
If Real have another season without winning a major trophy then Ancelotti will be sacked so he has to get his team in place quickly, but then will Real want or be able to afford a fee of 80m odd ?

Reinvestment isn't our strong point sadly.

I have heard that, but what have they promised Carlo?

If there's a decent profit to be made, I'd take it.
I would like to see him stay ideally, but if a move is forced on us then a good profit would sweeten the blow.

The transfer market is a funny thing and certainly can make fools of people. Paul Merson would have an interesting perspective on a 85m move for Richarlison to Real.

The more I think of it I feel we will have him for next season anyway. We simply won't sell him cheap and who can afford to buy him dear ?
