I’d play Gordon instead of Townsend - so no problems there. I’d apologise to Digne and get him back in, and then play Godfrey at right back. Then pray Rondon turns into prime Lewandowski

We had our first choice starting XI available for about 5 games all last season. Dunno why people assume this is something that ever happens to us.
The game is ridiculously physically demanding. Trying to play twice a week is honestly pretty ludicrous when once a week is enough to wear players down. The game has changed even in the last decade in that regard and the strategies for dealing with it need to change too. Everton are predictably lagging behind. The Athletic did a piece on this last year for each PL team looking at when they were able to select their 'best 11' within a particular season the most times.
I can't remember exactly who was in the XI, but for us the most we managed to pick the same 11 in the same season was eight times in 04-05.
No surprise it was our best finish in the PL era, I guess, but eight times is not a lot and really shows the importance of squad depth.
Agree with you there. If its a case of him being injured and out for a number if weeks
1. He's a petulant tit (again) for kicking off when he got subbed when injured
2. It's gross mismanagement yet again from Benitez who clearly knew he was injured as he mentioned it yet still brought him out 2nd half and kept him on for 15 minutes.
Pair of knobheads.

Anthony Gordon !! Come on down...Welcome back soft tissue injury, I've missed you.
I don't think we're always more injured we've just not constructed out team in a way where you don't notice it in years. I mean Chelsea were down Lukaku, Mount, Pulisic and Werner at a point and while it isn't really fair to compare us and them they've been able to cope in a way we clearly are unable. Even a team like Leicester at least has players backing up who do similar things to the starters. Wolves somewhat similar too. It is possible to do but we don't.And then you add in the amount of injuries our players pick up in training you'd assume training is generally pretty intense too. I don't know whether that's just standard practice for PL teams, but it does feel as though there are enormous improvements to be made with the way we do, well, pretty much everything.
I don't know if the toxic posters are the majority or minority but they sure are the loudest here and it's such a shame.
