It's interesting to debate how much he would fetch for us.

Currently, I don't think it would be much north of £60m + add-ons. £70m? I don't see anyone paying £100m or near it.

The best scenario, assuming that his days here are numbered, is to have a cracking season for the toffees and put another 20 or 30 percent on that figure.

I actually think he is a decent lad, not saying he wouldn't leave us in the lurch if a suitable offer came in, but he does care about the club and fans I think.

It's all set up for him to go next season.

If PSG did come in for him you can’t exactly begrudge him the chance of playing with the greatest player ever to play the game. Idrissa Gana Gueye. That Messi lad can play a bit to

24 year old with 2 years left on his contract (presume we would have an option to extend) but potentially he could be able to run down his contract next season.

Its a tough one. On paper we need to money to bring in replacements and solve problem areas in other parts of the pitch.

Real havent a pot to piss in so quite how they would finance potentially the biggest ever transfer in football is beyond me but if they can then Rico being named as his replacement puts a premium on him and plays into our hands. Presumably PSG would want an immediate replacement and wouldn't wait for him to run down a contract.

Interesting week ahead.

He's got three years left on his deal

I think this is his last season with us personally, but I think he's going to have a good one

I think you are just about spot on Bri.
I think his valuation now is about £60-70m but if he has a good season with around 20 goals plus assits I could see him going for £80 - 90 million next season.

….I think he’s more effective a footballer than Grealish. He might not look as fancy, but Grealish plays complicated football, Richarlison is uncomplicated. I know which of the two I prefer.

Grealish £100m and you say Richarlison £60m. If Grealish is a benchmark, then £60m is robbery.

There is often a game of dominoes going in these things...Messi being the first one, Mbappe the 2nd and in 3rd...
Gray is the natural replacement...who the cover is for him is anybodys guess...but then again we never had real cover for Richarlson
With Benitez's mate...aka, 'The Last Domino' Rondon arriving in the dying minutes of the window.

And if we're really lucky we might even get a right back - but that's pushing it into Fantasy Island territory

Worst part of this news is it’s so late in the window ffs
I don't think he'll be off, it's too late and he owes us after letting him go to the olympics. I don't think he'll kick up a fuss although if a big bid comes in from PSG we all know how much he loves Neymar. It is up to us this season to match his ambition.

I still think we are his current level still though as he's a bit inconsistent and still loses the ball a bit much for me to be at a CL club. Love him to stay a few more years but it's up to us on the pitch really.
