2021/22 Richarlison

He plays as a left forward for Brazil and for us.

He's not a 9.

Also what's a 9 nowadays, this ain't the 90s anymore, no one's a 9 anymore, players are expected to do more than 1 thing ffs.
So on the left of a 4-3-3.

Also I kind of doubt he'll be there for Brazil much longer.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, Vinicius is too good and he has to play on the left.
Richy's proven he can play there for us, plus they'll be 100% more on the ball with more movement, none of this hoof it up for someone to chase - it'll fit him and be better.

Thing is, they also have Gabriel Jesus who plays pretty much the same role.

I prefer Richarlison to Gabriel Jesus, think he would have suited City far better too. I think he would score far more in a better team, as I feel he snatches at chances with us, as he is not sure when the next chance will come along, but would relax more with better service and hit the target with a higher percentage of shots. I will be sad to see him go, as I feel he gets the club, and gives everything he has most of the time. I would prefer him to smile more, as I like to think the players I am supporting are enjoying their football, but think that is just his personality. I love his feeling of responsibility off the pitch, both with EitC and back home. I think he would have gone last summer if we had refused his request to play in the olympics, and feel that he probably guaranteed to see out this season. However, if he moves on to a bigger club, I would thank him for what he has given us, and keep an eye on his progress as if he had come through our academy. I know the saying is usually 'no player is bigger than the club', but I think he has outgrown us.

Think Richarlison would be great in the Spanish league as defending isn't allowed. Plus that bald flop we had scored a fair few in that league... forgot his name

Got to love it

It’s taken me a long time to understand and appreciate Richarlison , I never rated him at all and still don’t think he is top class but he has another side which I was not seeing until quite recently, articles like the above give a great insight to who he is , I wouldn’t swap him for anyone or any amount of money now he is priceless . This photo says everything, the most iconic image ever .

He's always been great with fans, and always goes and greets younger fans in particular.

Can't fault him as a person and he gives a good effort on the pitch for me.

I know we need to get rid of our soft side as a priority at the club but he's a good egg.

He’s got the perfect balance though. Must be horrible to play against as he’s a right snide on this pitch but off it he’s also a total gent, does loads for charity in the community and in his homeland and he’s a role model to the young fans off the pitch

The one player we have to be moving heaven and earth to extend.

I can't see it somehow. I'd absolutely be selling DCL before I sold Richarlison, but with 2 years left on his deal at his age it's the perfect time for him to move on. For a team in the situation we are in, it's difficult to see what Richarlison's motivation would be for staying. There will be clubs in for him this summer.
