My thinking is spend a chunk on the likes of KLP from Hull who will bring a bit of directness and drive to the role, and use the rest on some creativity in midfield (assuming defensive reinforcements will come with maybe selling Mina, or other transfer odds and ends).

So we may be losing something in that one position but improving the team as a whole.

Spending every penny on a like-for-like replacement would be exciting, but would leave us just as weak as we were last season.

I don't think it is impossible. It will probably be hard because of how precarious our position is.

I do think if we sign someone like KLP as you mention it could be a matter of letting him develop and then we are better off somewhat quickly.

No I haven't watched them all. Yes I have scouted them through a combination of google, stats sites and youtube.

None of them are as good or will ever be as good as Richarlison.

Its not something you can argue, its just something you will have to accept, then in 7 or 8 years 1 of us will be right.

Heres a clue, it wont be you.

Well he's leaving Goat so who would you sign to replace him?

The thing is there are probably something like 10 players between 20 and 23 who we could sign who will be better. Just a question of figuring out who. I'm not saying I know.

Everton January transfer window 2021

Why do we do this every time we are in a solid position in January it’s boring. Used to do this so often under Moyes. He’d get us into the top 5 at Christmas, the untold wealth of the Champions League within our grasp if we could just kick on.. but no, we’ll stick with Victor Anichebe up front.
