The pal who told me has now said Villa 100% in for him, reminds Gerrard of Suarez and his win at all costs attitude, fits their system of narrow attackers and also his agent has helped the Digne, Coutinho, and Diego Carlos sales in the last 6 months (Richarlison recently changed agents). Villa willing to pay lots, Everton want the money to rebuild and help with FFP, only issue is Richy wants champions league and sees Villa as a sideways step plus he doesn’t like Gerrard cos of the Liverpool connection. Villa hoping his time with Coutinho in South Korea will convince him. Just passing on what I’ve heard anyway, I find it entertaining regardless, he should see we’ll finish above them next season.
