Let me make some cases:
Leicester have literally won the league and the FA Cup and played in Europe repeatedly over the last six or so years
West Ham consolidated being a premier league team without relegation battles then got to a European semi final last season
Wolves have consistently finished top half
Everton have consistently finished above both clubs and challenged for European competition until last season where we had one bad year and still didn’t get relegated like Villa and Newcastle did last time they had bad years
Even bloody Southampton or Palace or Brighton could make arguments based off playing good football with up and coming managers and premier league security for a number of years

Anyway, Richarlison, Brazil’s number 9, our best player, isn’t going to bloody Villa to better his career ?

I think players only look at the here and now. Any prospective player doesn't care what you've done, it's where you're going. Villa and Newcastle have the advantage of being the two biggest clubs outside of the top 6 and if we're on the up, and we have money to spend, players will want to join.

There is a lot to like about Richy but I don't like the feigning injury every few mins, he would be a better player if he gave that up. But I can't see why Villa would sign him. It is not that he is a bad player, he isn't, but if we are to sign a striker we would want a clinical finisher, we already have 10 goal a season players on the payroll
