2021/22 Richarlison

The only team in the premier league that Richarlison will leave Everton for is Manchester United....

Here's why

City don't need
Arsenal/Spurs can't afford
Chelsea have financial problems.
The rest aren't good enough..... Villa and Newcastle haven't a hope unless they offer huge huge wages to him, but I don't think Richarlison strikes me as a fella that is motivated by money.

Real Madrid seems the most likely destination or Paris.

There is a lot to like about Richy but I don't like the feigning injury every few mins, he would be a better player if he gave that up. But I can't see why Villa would sign him. It is not that he is a bad player, he isn't, but if we are to sign a striker we would want a clinical finisher, we already have 10 goal a season players on the payroll
I see you been sold by the media narrative, Richy gets kicked from piller to post but the RS media brand him as feigning injury every time which simply isn’t true. Yes he does sometimes but no where as bad as the media claim an no where then other times. The RS are far worse but refs always give them free kicks

I never said we would sign him and never said he would come to Villa. I just pointed out that he is a player that would not suit Villa and where we are with our team. We don't have a clinical goal scorer and if we were to spend money on a striker we would want one that if far more clinical than Richy, so I can't see why we would even be interested. If we were looking at spending 80m+ on a striker I would much prefer Darwin Nunez

From the outside looking in the problem for Villa is they need CL football in the next 1-2 seasons before their spending catches up with them. Spending what you are spending isnt sustainable especially when the players you do sign wont have any resale value and the ones you've signed that are younger like Bailey/Watkins seem to be struggling and/or not hitting the heights you had hoped.

We were lucky enough to have the pandemic to blag our losses whereas going forward clubs wont have that excuse.

Realistically selling Richarlison will reset our books like the Grealish sale did yours but hopefully this time we don't make the same mistakes as previous and instead focus on slightly younger in that 21-26 bracket like Leicester have done.

Chelsea has just been purchased for 4.25Bn, 1.75Bn of which is to go into Chelsea Football Club.

I refuse to speak to them after that, its proper done me that.

A true little pissant club.
If you asked 100 fans in the country, who was the bigger club out of Aston Villa and Everton, what do you think the response would be? I'd estimate 70/30 in favour of Villa and again, I mean that with no disrespect.

We've been signing a few Brazilians lately. I think you overestimate how good Richarlison is and our spending power. I don't think we're in for him, but if we were, I think we'd have a good chance of getting him.

Bye mate.

86 goals, come back when somebody scores a 100.

I agree we are spending but we are also selling. Last year we had 106m worth of player sales. This year we will probably sell Luiz 25m, Targett 15m, Davis 5m, ElGhazi and Trezeguet 4m (combined) and there are a few other fringe players we will get a few quid for. That will be about 160m in revenue in 2 seasons from players' sales plus we have pandemic losses. We got money for the high speed train and our accounts are actually quite healthy. The need to CL football is not for quite a few years yet. Top half PL finish will enable Villa to continue to invest in players. But, if we want to make the step to the next level then yes, we will need Europe and CL football. But I think the management team is well aware of that and appear to be smart business people

I would humbly suggest that if you were indeed "in for him", I think he'd rather sign up as my Nan's carer than spend a season at Villa. Sorry mate, but you're seriously deluded if you think Richarlison would swap Goodison for Villa Park.

Mate your record goalscorer is Gabby Agbonlahor with 86 goals.

86 goals??? LOL

Heres ours.

All-Time Top Scorers
  • Dixie Dean (383)
  • Graeme Sharp (159)
  • Bob Latchford (138)
  • Sandy Young (125)
  • Joe Royle (119)

So many levels away.

Richarlison would be the greatest player in your history.

Dwight Yorke had to score more than that for them surely?

Or someone in the 30’s-60’s or something

Is it really that low?
